because his attitude. top with his arrogance, and him always proclaiming that hes the best ever, but has YET to take the fights that the media, and the fans want. Don't matter if he WOULD win, he SHOULD just do it and shut everyone up once and for all.

I don't think it has anything to do with lack of respect. In fact, I think all those people who talk reckless to him, respect him too much. What provokes the random outburts by "haters" are his physical stature (only 5'8" 147lbs), jealousy, and technology. The internet and social media has made everyone feel like their opinion matters. At one point, athletes, stars, etc were unattainable. At one point if you bought an album and it ******, you could only gripe about it with your friends. Now you can add a "@" and tell the artist directly. This has given these "haters" a false sense of importance. For one, it's laughable to call a guy who stands and fights someone for a living a coward in any way, shape, or form. Yet, frail disk jockeys sit behind a mic and soundboard and assume the tough guy role and in turn call a professional fighter a coward. It's odd. But I was always told, anytime a stranger can hold a conversation longer than 5 mins about you....they're paying too much attention to you. Haters say Floyd fights put them to sleep...yet can tell you everything that happened in the fight. Haters say Floyd will be broke and he's dumb with his money....then get mad when he breaks the old business model of fighters doing the fighter and the promoter counting the money. They're never pleased. And the fact that so many people are waiting on the day he loses, proves his skills are respected by those very people hating.

Simply because his persona doesn't sit well with mainstream media. His arrogance is not what the media want to get behind.

Look at the whole Pacquaio infidelity & love child stories but the mainstream media don't tend to showcase that. They showcase the congressman, good guy role.

If Floyd had done that you could imagine the backlash from the media?

But Floyd doesn't really have anyone to blame for this. He's put himself in the position where he has chosen to be the bad guy.

But love him or hate him; you cannot deny the guy is a genius in the ring.

Because he makes him self a caricature of a human. Hes arrogant, yet he doesnt back it up, he needs to fight all comers. He finally fights a good young fighter, and he has to win it like that. Boxing is one of the only sports that lets you choose your own schedule, so guys can pick and choose who they fight and then claim they are the best. Floyd needs to back up his talk and then hell get respect. If he were in other sport, fact of the matter is he would lose at some point, and have no choice but to be humble. He also chooses to make things about race, when in fact the situation has nothing to do with race, he uses it to side step other issues such as boxing in general. If he fought Pac and won, and no bull**** decision robbery or sneak punches, if he knocked him out or won a war fairand square then he would grab a ton of respect. Which is how he should want to win it. FLoyd wants respect for being floyd, which isnt how it works. Hes a great fighter, but hes a douchy person. Thats the truth.

Because he is undefeated, and he is the best. If you get hated on you are doing something right. It's called jealousy, all men possess it to a certain degree, kinda like greed, it's a human thing.
