You have to wonder how all those hard shots to the head are gonna affect Toney -- will he even be able to speak at all soon? It was cringeworthy in that aspect of things. The last thing he needed was all those hard head shots.

Why should no one make excuses? They arent excuses. They are facts. Anyone with two eyes saw a shot to ***** old man stumbling around the ring. That was not James Toney.

Toney fought the ENTIRE fight on ONE LEG

Watch the 1st 2 rounds up until the halfway point of the 2nd round. Toney is looking somewhat nimble (for a 43 year old shot fighter) footwork and balance not sloppy at all. Then at about 4:27 in the video (1:45 thru round 2) he throws a punch and his left knee buckles at the exact same moment. From then on out, he's fighting on one leg.


Can't believe more people didn't catch this.

Regardless of how shitty a boxer Lebedev might be, Toney is a 43 year old man who just went the full distance on one leg without even being knocked down, against a young, prime. top 5, supposedly hard punching Cruiserweight, while fighting in a division he hadn't fought in since 2003. He could've EASILY pulled a B-Hop or Vitali and puss'd out and quit, but he took the MAN way out and finished the fight with only 3 working limbs without complaining or looking for a easy, cheap way out.

THE greatest warrior of our era. Toney deserves every REAL boxing fans respect.

I noticed this too- he ****ed up either his foot or his leg or his ankle early in the fight.

Nobody wants to acknowledge this. I've tried to speak out in other discussions outside of bs, but it just gets ignored and they keep going on about how toney is garbage.
