Weights: James Toney 199, Denis Lebedev 197.5

I guess Ismayl Sillakh moved up to Cruiserweight because everyone was ducking him - I hope that didn't negatively affect him - he was utterly awesome at Light-Heavyweight!

      LIGHTS OUT!!!

that would be very ****** to move to cruiserweight because "Everyone was ducking him". Sillakh is awesome and all but he hasn't really beat anyone yet. I mean he beat Yordanis Despaigne and Daniel Judah, but not the next level of guys.

The top three guys have all been fighting eachother - hopkins, dawson, pascal.

He could still try to get the lower level guys like Adrian Diaconu, Mack, and then try for guys like Shumenov, Nathan Cleverly and/or target Zsolt Erdei/Cloud winner.

You can't expect to beat Yordanis Despaigne and immediately get a shot at Hopkins, Dawson or Pascal. Got to work your way up.

So hopefully that's not his reasoning.

I don't think Sillakh is moving up to cruiserweight I just think after Henry and then Vlasov bailed the only fight they could make for him was at CW. I saw a recent interview with him and his trainer and they were talking about the LHW landscape there was no mention of any moving up in weight

Based on what evidence from the last 5 years?

Gotta love the delusions of the Toneyites.

Take a look at who is in Toney's corner. That's all you need to know.

All the weight loss so soon at this age might not bold well for Toney.

Why is Sillakh fighting at CW?

199! really? I honestly thought he wouldnt make weight. He must have dont some serious cutting, he didnt look anywhere near 200 when he landed in Russia a week or so ago! I mean, he was 257 at the end of February!
Diuretics and the sauna got him to make weight, most likely.

He is highly motivated -- to get paid.

                    Boxing? Not so much.

In-shape? Well, he's thinner. He's not exactly Mr. America, is he? And he's 43 years old.

For his last fight he weighed 257-pounds in February, but he came in at 199-pounds at the official weigh-in. The opponent, hard ****er Denis Lebedev (22-1, 17 KOs) came in at 197-5-pounds. Toney (73-6-3, 44 KOs) vs. Lebdev will have the vacant interim-WBA title at stake.
