i think this is a nice fight to see where their careers are heading


maidana's on the threshold of being a legitimate contender to the elite of 140 and the guys that move up to 47 (bradley, khan rematch, ortiz rematch that will never happen, etc) but he's got lots of limitations
this would be a great learning experience for him.


for a few fights he has stopped improving, but his last fight out he looked a lot better
a bit faster
much more in control. picked his shots nice.

moved his head a bit! (imagine that, lol)


picking maidana to win a decision or perhaps a stoppage very late (but i tend to doubt it)
he might get touched up a bit early but he will eventually catch up to paulie who cannot break hiim down with his shots due to the complete lack of power

Slick boxer vs come forward brawler always makes for an interesting bout. I hope it happens. Many may not like Malignaggi but you have to respect him. He's not into the ducking and dodging business. He fights anyone!

I used to like Maidana.

He needs to stop acting like a b1tch after all the talking his did about Khan ducking him. Khan was ducking him, but he did fight him, dropped him and beat him. Maidana has gone backwards slowly since before the Khan fight but somehow finds a strap around his waist.

Maidana stop holding that belt hostage and go and fight someone that will challenge you. Your countryman has been robbed a few times, why don't you give him a shot at the paper belt belt you have...2 wrongs might make 1 right.

me too but it looks like rios is gonna be fighting gamboa anyway in the spring/summer
