    Milton McCrory

    Hey, whats up?

I have heard a lot about this guy, mainly in my research about the Kronk gym and its fighters...

How was this guy? Any good? What were your thoughts?

I know I am going to meet him once I go to Detroit, so I wanted to get to know about him a little..

    Info would be appreciated

He's a 6'2'' southpaw light heavy with a long, scrumptious ****. He also has a georgous face, and likes long walks on the beach.

As I recall Milton was a very very good fighter but he really never beat a top notch guy...I may be wrong?

I know that recently when Shane Mosely and Vernon Forrest squared off Max Kellerman was comparing their fight to Curry/McCrory...both men being udefeated....McCrory resembling Forrest and Curry resembling Mosely.

unfortunately it didnt work out quite the way it was supposed to...for Milt that is.

I believe he was knocked out by McCallum as well, dont know how many times he was bneaten...but if you are going to meat him...in a real kind way ask him who he would rather have a remtach with...the body snatcher or the cobra...I would like to know!

I also believe that had Milton beaten Curry he would have been considered the sports p4p best fighter...I could be wrong about that but I think that is pretty accurate.

                  Heres what I know:

Thomas Hearns put the Kronk Gym on the map and like alot of fighters, McCrory capitalized on it. The Ice Man was always in someones shadow. At Kronk it was Tommy Hearns. In the Welterweight division it was Donald Curry. He wasn't the best McCrory fighting either, it was his younger brother Steve.

Clearly his defining moment came when he and Donald Curry squared off to unify the welterweight title. It was compared to Hearns vs Leonard and everyone hoped it lived up to the hype.
It didn't, Curry dropped him like a sack of potatoes with a perfect left hook in round two. How he got up I'll never know and then Curry landed one huge right hand and it was all over.
Mills Lane didn't bother counting. He could have counted to 100, McCrory wasn't getting up.

McCrory was a technically sound boxer. above average but in crunch time his chin let him down. Not a whole lot of power either.

good guy, good fighter..but far from great.

lost all his big fights if I remember correctly
