i dont know if its so much that pac hits really hard or just that pac has a very unique punch that you cannot see coming.

dlh said they didnt hurt and so did cotto. the problem was that they didnt see them coming, so the "power" of his punch does not come from strength really, just that its unpredictable and cant be braced for. In addition, he is probably naturally quite strong to begin with.

That's the thing with Pacquiao. And I've said it before as well.

David Díaz, Oscar de la Hoya, Cotto, and Mosley have said it...the problem isn't that he hits particularly hard, it's just that he's so fast and throws them from every side that you're getting hit with punches you don't brace yourself for...especially when they're in combinations of three, four, five, or six. but as far as punches are concerned, he just touches you and you're ****ing bruised up. My whole face was bruised up and he really didn't hit me that much.



I was thinking the same thing about how Pacquiao may load his gloves in someway because he beat up Cotto's face as bad as Margarito did with plaster.

..and Cotto had been in many wars but his face had never looked like it had been beaten by a baseball bat like it did aside from the Margarito(we know he used plaster) and Pacquiao fight(so what does that tell you?).
