Pacquiao/Marquez - a TRUE "old school" fight (same day weigh-in)

Before boxers weighed in 24 hours before the fight, they used to weigh in on the day of the fight. . . THIS is what Pacquiao vs. Marquez essentially is. . .

Normally Marquez cuts about 20 pounds to make lightweight, as he rehydrates to 148-150 pounds. Usually a fighter rehydrates to about 5-7 pounds less than what they "walk around at"

When marquez and pac fought the first two times, they both rehydrated to the same weight on fight night. . .

THIS TIME, however, neither fighter will have to cut weight, and they will both walk in the ring weighing the same. . . It's perfect, because NEITHER has to worry about stamina issues. . . we TRULY get to see TWO GUYS THE EXACT SAME SIZE GO AT IT! No bull**** where one fighter is "drained" and the other fighter has a huge advantage from rehydration like chavez jr. had over zbik, etc.

Ah thanks for clearing that up but JMM is still a 38 year old battle worn lightweight.

disregard the 144 pound catchweight. . . it doesn't matter because NEITHER FIGHER has to "MAKE WEIGHT"! Neither will be "weight drained", and they both will come into the fight on a FULL STOMACH and FULLY HYDRATED!

It couldn't be any better! How often do we get a fight where BOTH FIGHTERS ARE THE EXACT SAME SIZE ON FIGHT NIGHT?!? hardly ever!!

How often do we see a fight where BOTH FIGHTERS don't have to cut ONE POUND of weight?! It's brilliant!

everybody knows there is a difference between "age" and "boxing age". . . Pacquiao and Marquez are both the same in regards to "boxing age". . .

Marquez has shown BETTER STAMINA than he ever has before!

IF he's a natural lightweight, than so is manny, because last time I chekced, they both walk around at the SAME WEIGHT! they both rehydrate TO THE SAME WEIGHT!

FINALLY, we get a fight where BOTH FIGHTERS will be able to come in at their very best, without having to cut any weight! OLD SCHOOL!

I laugh when I see haters claim that Pac is going to be fighting a bloated JMM. JMM will be the same exact weight on fight night than he is when he fights at 135. They are both the same size. Only difference is that Pac doesnt cut weight then rehydrate. Instead he just fights at his walking around weight.

Manny has been consistently training his body for and against Welter-weight competition. Cut the bullshit and see it for what it is; a welter-weight taking on an old light-weight that just barely got by Katsidis. A light-weight that's no longer what he used to be; a light-weight that will have to pack on some muscle in order to make the fight the least bit competitive.

              knowledgeable fans knows whats up.

Might as well disregard weight classes period, concerning Pacman. Funny thing is that its weight that has been a deciding factor in all but 2 fights over 140. Yet his fans toss that to the side.

Are you trying to convince me or yourself?

As we all know you can’t accurately gauge a fighters ‘boxing age’ this is just nonsense and nothing more than your opinion. I know it is highly unlikely for a 38 year old with 59 pro fights and a good number of gruelling wars to still be in his ‘Prime boxing age’.

The fact is Marquez is 38 years old fighter has shown signs of wear and tear in recent fights he is in my opinion battle worn and has been in steady decline for a number of years.

You can keep up this agenda as much as you want but you are never going to convince anyone that this fight is anything but a mismatch happening at the wrong weight and 3 years to late.
