It's not worth it for Wlad to vacate and Tony Thompson is not a big enough threat to vacate so it's better to get him out of the way. If Wlad pressed the issue I could get rid of Thompson within 4 rounds easy! IBF should be ashamed of themselves by putting Thompson as a #1 mandatory. Here is their rankings from their site:

      1 Eddie Chambers United States
      2 Tony Thompson United States
      3 Robert Helenius Germany
      4 Chris Arreola United States
      5 David Haye United Kingdom
      6 Maurice Harris United States
      7 Denis Boytsov Germany
      8 Alexander Dimitrenko Germany
      9 Kali Meehan Australia
      10 Jean Marc Mormeck France
      11 Jonathon Banks United States
      12 Alexander Ustinov Russian Federation
      13 Cedric Boswell United States
      14 Manuel Charr Germany
      15 Kubrat Pulev

Mismatch, but still better than a mandatory defense against a Mormeck type fighter. It can't be helped.

How long does Wlad have to defend the (ibf) title against his mandatory?..

Wlad should just cave this palooka's head in next weekend. A warmup for Mormeck. Just get it over with.

Maybe a better fight than Mormeck but Wlad will smash him. Wlad wanted Arreola next but he ducked him, that means he goes down the queue.
