'86 was an interesting year. We get to see DC Curry as high as #3 and then allofasudden POOF! Honeyghan really did a number on him.

I was never aware that Qawi was top ten p4p before...I take it that was after his second destruction of MSM?

No.....He didn't beat Saad for the second time until the summer of '82. That list was from Jan '82.

So it was coming off the first MSM fight? My 80's timetables are off.

He beat Lopez in '80, Vonzell Johnson in '81, and MSM in late '81 right? Was this right after the first MSM fight?

              Yes....

But, I don't think Braxton ever fought Yaqui Lopez or Vonzell Johnson.
He beat Mike Rossman & James Scott (the guy in Rahway) right before he beat Saad.
Vonzell J. was KO'd in early '81 by Saad, & then by Spinks near the end of that year.

Yeah I phrased it wrong...I was working out what happened in my head and just typed it all out.

MSM beat Johnson and Lopez (great fight) in '81 and '80 respectively...then Qawi beat him (obviously MSM was a p4p guy prior to the Qawi loss). It's crazy that Qawi broke their top 10 after simply beating MSM...was Scott undefeated when Qawi beat him? It doesn't seem like Qawi had that great a resume yet...?

Hell I wasn't even born then. I pisses me off to no end that I couldn't be around and more aware of the 80's boxing era. I got to see the late 80's stuff at least.

Juy, do you have listings from '91 and '92 available? I'm trying to figure out where ring put Nelson after he beat Fenech in that second fight and later went on to decision Ruelas....

Interesting scap and jabs, I always loved Terry Norris. His offensive skills is what I admired so much, to bad he had NO chin. When I was smaller and they would talk about JCC fighting him I knew Terry would kill Chavez but I never knew it was Norris calling out the way smaller Chavez. I thought it was just talked about by the commentaters.Like a fantasy match up but I never thaught it was actually serious.
