Comments Thread For: Arum: Marquez Trilogy is Very Personal For Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao sat in his closet of a dressing room Wednesday at Wild Card Gym in Hollywood. Surrounded by a handful of reporters and one annoying photographer who rarely stopped clicking away, Pacquiao patiently answered questions put to him.

Pacman doesnt look good or like a hero or tuff for taking this fight NOW.,in fact he looks very cowardly for it.. Four years ago was the time to do it not now, because Jmm is still at best a liteweight and to add insult to injury hes almost 40. This fight is personal for Pac only because he knows deep down inside that he lost Both those fights, to me those knockdows werent enough to secure a win because they were early knockdowns, and also because Jmm Won the overall majority of the rounds that ensued in both fights including th ever important championship rounds, then on top of that Marquez landed alot more shots on pacman in BOTH fights. Pacman scored some good knockdowns but what Pacfans refuse to acknowlege is thatJMM actually got up and beat pacyow in pretty much every damn round, and outconnected him by very significant numbers. To a ******* BOTH fights ended at the Knockdowns and that as we all know just didnt happen. If a guy out -connects you by 38 punches and won the most rounds as jmm did in the second fight, YOU LOST! period!JMM has more ko's than pacman does so you cant say those punches were love taps. Now pac should win this time easily even maybe by early ko if hes really that improved, but it wont change history or the fact that JMM was RObbed of 2 victories he DEFINITLEY deserved TWICE.In my book JMM goes down as a great that beat pac twice something which nobody else has accomplished so far, and from the looks of it since Pac refuses to fight guys in their prime or the top challenges wont happen either.

It's not "whining" from Marquez, let's not forget that he won more total rounds in those 2 fights than Pacquiao did.

yeah, thats the only thing i dont like about marquez, being a sore loser. it's ok to whine if any of the fights was a robbery but both fights were close and kd's/ kd made the diffrence. it would've been more controversial if they gave it to him imo becuace he never had pac down.

The sore loser is the guy who finally finds the balls to fight Marquez for the 3rd time at 38 years old and disavantaged by the weight because he knows that Marquez really beat him 2 times

It should be clear now that Manny was at a weight disadvantage and SEVERELY drained when he fought Marquez. He took him on at Super Feather and by the end of that same year, he was destroying DLH at WW. It should be clear now that Manny was struggling to make fw and his work at higher weights is a testament to that.

Marquez never saw Manny at his best, but a weight drained Manny saw the best of Marquez and put him on his ass 4X. So now we get to see what the result will be when the tables are turned
