Good for Floyd and in the short run for boxing.
I don't know why people are ripping Steve Kim even though he said it's just a rumor. Kim never stated that the numbers were official. He said something and the *******s ran with it as if they struck gold or something.
It looks like Mannix of SI and Fighthype were both incorrect in reporting both of their numbers by 500K-1 million.
Something caught my eye reading Rafael's article though:
"Although the buys equaled those of Manny Pacquiao's 2008 fight with Oscar De La Hoya and virtually matched those of Pacquiao-Shane Mosley in May (official numbers were not released for that fight)..."
Why hasn't Showtime still said anything in regards of official numbers for Pac/Mosley?
Go rely on Kim for your info if you wish ^^
Fighthype stated that the fight did well in excess of 1mil PPV's.Comment

Link plz to the official figures.
Dont be so ******.
Arum will not release those figures for a very good reason.
If they were good, he would be crowing about it, like youComment

So when he gets numbers like the last one, it just reinforces that belief. So why take a risk in not just losing the fight but completely losing out on making that kind of money?Comment

hahaha that should shut up the conspiracy theories by *******s. 'Oh it must of did 800K if it did over 1mill they would've released it by now'. Great number against a relatively unknown fighter to the public, especially when the price of the PPv was at 59.99$ so that equates to around over 1.31-1.34mil.
*******s are angry now.Last edited by Phil Ivey; 10-28-2011, 05:57 PM.Comment
