you think local followings are dead in boxing?

go to a manfredo fight at mohegan sun

the guy sells tickets. he makes for fun fights.

the last manfredo main event i went to sold well over 3k tickets

tim bradley had trouble selling out a one thousand seat arena in his gary shaw days.

      GL pride of providence

this shoudl be an exciting fight given the styles

if manfredo loses i think it will be because he's up against a harder puncher who will have an easier time scoring points

i know 2 pro boxers in edmonton who are obviously not at the same level as manfredo but both are working out of the local 92 labourers union here in edmonton & one is the canadian middleweight champion who got to go fight craig mcewen on an HBO undercard last year.both make good money as workers but still keep the boxing dream alive...i'm an ironworker so i know what kind of sacrifices a guy has to make to do both.i know i wouldn't do it.boxing don't pay $33\hour(approx labourers wages here)but working in oil refineries here does...good luck to manfredo...it's hard not to like the guy

I take Peter too. I have known him when he trained at the Wild Card in LA. He is a good guy with plenty of talent. Peter you are gonna do this. Do it convincingly.

Too bad he's not a better fighter.

Seems like a helluva good guy.

he'll have a hard time winning a decision, thats for sure, especially with the type of scorecards we've been seeing lately.

he'll have to drop him a few times to even have a prayer
