Well I usually figure that knowing the fight is going to be 12/15 rounds, a fighter will probably adapt and fight accordingly.

One that I think would've changed though, if scheduled for 15, was Chavez-Taylor 1. No controversy here. Contrary to popular belief, Taylor wasn't winning because he was putting on an amazing display of boxing tactics, defense, punch selection, etc....He was winning because he was a speedy guy with an insane workrate. He was outworking Chavez. But the punishment was adding up. If Taylor used the ring more and was more selective with his punches, well, Chavez was the more accurate puncher who was great at cutting off the ring. Taylor had to throw a lot of shots in order to win, and in doing so, was putting himself in harm's way.

In a 15 rounder, Chavez stops Taylor in the late rounds without controversy.

            Frank Bruno-Oliver McCall.

Bruno was exhausted at the end of 12. They were fighting at a snail's pace too.
