Jamie Foxx to Film the Mike Tyson Story

Jamie Foxx wants to put up his dukes. The Oscar-winning star of "Ray" tells GLARE there is another biopic he would love to bring to the big screen.

"I think the Mike Tyson story should be told on film," Foxx says.
"Nobody knows the stuff I know about Mike. Again, it's blow-your-mind material. He also speaks in phrases that make you listen."

Foxx even has logged some time with the champ.
"I was talking to Mike recently and he told me, 'Jamie, I don't even
have any money now. But I'm happy. I don't worry about anything.
I'm just happy. I'm even glad I don't have any money because now
nobody wants to do me wrong or f--- me over.'"

    Foxx shakes his head.

"You give any 19-year-old kid 60 million dollars and see just how
crazy it gets for him," he says.

So Foxx wants to film Tyson's story.

"It's not happening yet, but I believe in putting things in the air,"
he says with a smile. "Hopefully, something will catch."

Meanwhile, Foxx stars in the war film "Jarhead," which opens
    in November.

I think the timing on this is wrong. I don't think the "story of Mike Tyson" is over yet. Infact, I think it has just begun!

Correct me if I'm wrong on this one, but wasn't there already a movie about Mike made in the 90's sometime?

One last thing on this; if Jamie Foxx does make a movie about Tyson I hope the producers choreograph the fights like they did in the movie "Ali," because they looked so realistic.

Jamie FOX has gotten real big lately, he was big in Any Given Sunday then lost it for Ali and Ray, now he bigger than ever. I was watching a interview about his upcoming movie Jarhead on HBO and he looked huge

HBO already put out a movie called Tyson several years back. It starred Michael Jai White as Mike Tyson and went up to his **** conviction. I wonder if this new onw just picks up where the original one left off. Or if starts all over from youth up to the Lewis, Williams, or Mcbride fights.

I wonder if it could beat the Beyond the Glory documentary filmed on Tyson. Best documentary I ever saw and will ever see.

Foxx better not play Tyson. Michael Jai White did a really good job in "Tyson", the HBO movie.
