What I find funny about this is:

Toney did not rely on Strength, Speed or Power to beat Ruiz.

He used something called "Boxing Skill".

Last I checked, steroids do not suppliment that.

That's a pathetic statement to be honest.

Last I checked, steroids were illegal and shouldn't be used in boxing.

It's a ***** move on Ruiz' part but Toney definetly deserves it.

ruiz is the champ, toney has been punished, ruiz's loss has been erased, ruiz reputation couldnt get any worse so no damage was done to it, ruiz doesnt have to face toney for the title until may of 2007, and ruiz claim that toney would not have won had it not been for the steroids is one of the most questionable statements that can be made in a lawsuit.

ruiz is being a pretensious *****. yes, toney is at fault, too. but toney took his punishment with no protest, got a fight right after his suspension was lifted, and is still keeping busy. ruiz, on the other hand, is filing a laughable lawsuit, bitching about nothing, acting like an arrogant *******, and is trying to make a spectacle out of the suit by demanding stricter drug policies in boxing.

ruiz has NO RIGHT to complain.

Well I guess when they take it to court and Toney's lawyers show the scientific effidence that the Meds he was on produced the postive test for steroids , he will be cleared also .

It wasnt like he got in the ring and just beat the **** out of Ruiz with power , he used skill to do that. Ruiz was just outboxed and a sore loser .

do you think it was the dynamite in toney's right that won him the fight?

do you think it was the flashy footwork a la roy jones? or blazing sugar ray leonard handspeed?

do you think it was he his manhandling ruiz in the clinches?

or did it look like ruiz was always open for the same punch?

does steroids improve your ability to observe the other fighter movementes and where he is open for counters, or is it more the experience of 70+ pro fights?

I mean if it was steroids giving him speed, toney would have been able to hit ruiz in a lot more ways, instead he had to find a hole and exploit it, that's skills not steroids.

we all agree that steroids are illegal, but ruiz claiming he would have won the fight otherwise is bs if you watched the fight.

I dont think there is anyway Ruiz is going to win this. How is he suppose to prove that the reason he lost was because Toney took steroids?
If Ruiz is really worried about athletes taking steroids he should push for periodic testing while in training, or bigger fines, not try to benefit from it.
