I've read De Cubas manages both Molina and Lara. If this is so (and I don't doubt it), I agree, there's no good reason why Luis should pit his boys against each other.

As I've said, I thought Carlos did enough to win in his meeting with Erislandy. For what it's worth, I also thought Lara was lethargic and frustratingly inactive. Your explanation for Lara's performance seems to make sense. I'm of the opinion that it was a valuable learning experience for Erislandy...you can't take anyone for granted.
