Damn, can't wait for some of these fights at 154-160 to start getting made.

Eventually, things will fall together and we're gonna get some seriously good matches. 2012 should be a solid, solid year.

Oh, well then it must be true if Lara says so.

Pirog is screaming for a fight Martinez, and he isn't getting that. Lara calls him out, silence......

Since Kirkland-Angulo and Alvarez-Cintron is already happening, and Martirosyan is fighting no names still, Lara-Trout would be a good fight at 154. I wouldn't mind seeing Lara fight Mundine for the time being either. Trout needs to step it up, seriously. I think once he steps up, he's done. I would bet on Lara to beat Martirosyan, Angulo, Kirkland, Trout, Mundine, and would have it 50/50 against Cotto and Alvarez.

Lara isn't getting any younger. Get that guy in a big fight again.

Which top Jr. Middleweights has he not called out yet? This is kind of sad that he has to do this. The guy just headlined an HBO main event. People should be lining up for him.

Lara's biggest problem is he's just too risky to fight for too little money. The same can be said for Carlos Molina. I thought Carlos should've gotten the nod against Lara (although the draw wasn't a complete robbery, either). That performance and the ones that followed landed Molina in the same boat as Erislandy. Kind of ironic, huh? The guy many people thought beat Lara is being avoided about as much as the guy everyone thought beat P. Will.

Molina has been quiet, so far. Lara is making some noise. He's trying to shame some of the bigger names into giving him a shot. The squeaky wheel gets the oil....

I think Decubas is the one doing all this talking not Lara.

anyways?Dude was a roll this year?Dude comes back after king fcks him,Then
he goes on to beat laras azz in a fight he wasint suppose to.Then he goes
as the underdawg yet again and beat cintron azz,Where he go?
Molina was on a roll, but ESPN FNF is done for the season, Molina should face Paul Williams. HBO needs to set that match up that way Molina becomes a major player in the division with the W and Williams gets the opportunity to face a right handed fighter to prove he's not shot either way the winner faces the mundane/trout winner since HBO is already onboard for that fight!

Maybe you're right. Either way, it's a good approach.

Lara is crazy for that rematch...he wants to clear his name badly. He didn't train for the first fight thinking Molina was a bum and now he fully regrets it. I know because I've talked with both him and his wife. Actually, his trainer wasn't available because he was busy with Rigondeaux and Lara thought he could easily handle Molina with only two weeks of preparation with a random conditioning coach. The thing is that now that Molina is on a hype, De Cubas, knowing that Lara will kill him if they fight again, doesn't want to make the fight. If you didn't know, De Cubas is both Lara and Molina's manager and he prefers to have both of them in the game than just Lara, hence Lara-Molina will never happen while he's there.

And btw, Lara didn't lose, the fight was correctly scored as a draw. I scored it as a draw and I was being generous with Molina because Lara was pissing me off. It could have gone either way and it wouldn't have been a robbery from any side.

I've read De Cubas manages both Molina and Lara. If this is so (and I don't doubt it), I agree, there's no good reason why Luis should pit his boys against each other.

As I've said, I thought Carlos did enough to win in his meeting with Erislandy. For what it's worth, I also thought Lara was lethargic and frustratingly inactive. Your explanation for Lara's performance seems to make sense. I'm of the opinion that it was a valuable learning experience for Erislandy...you can't take anyone for granted.
