.........Morales has been looking horrible recently minus the fight against the limited skilled Maidana.

JMM is no Maidana even at 140.

the only way I really see Morales winning is on cuts.
      which is a real possibility...
Nah, I can dig it, but Morrales has surprised me with his last two fights. I honestly think that if it were Marquez fighting Maidana he would have gotten crushed. I think all that time off did Morrales some favors & his punch resistance is back to full. I just see Marquez getting hurt a lot more while Morrales stood up to 1 of the purest punchers at 140. In short, Marquez might be better offensively, but his lack of punch resistance will see him fold while Morrales outlasts him in a slammin fight. It might happen after Marquez takes his lumps next month.

I actually see it the other way around..... I see Marquez beating Maidana and thats not out of favoritism.

The thing Morales was missing against Maidana was combination punching. Which he lacked. If Marquez can retain even a little bit of his speed @ 140 I see him beating Maidana on points. Thats if he can take Maidanas power. Which I don't think will be as big a problem seeing how he took so many of Floyd's clean shots.

JMM. He could possibly knock him out as well.

I mean, JMM did dust stone face Katsidis. So, not unfathomable to think JMM would knock out Morales.

I agree Marquez is the better fighter at this point. Obviously he is.

Marquez is one of the best fighters in the world and a legitimate world Champion Morales has been completely shot for years.

It just seemed you were saying 'even at this point' implying that Marquez is shot and Morales is in his prime or something.

I'm guessing that's not what you meant, though.

If they would have fought in 04 or 05 Morales would have beat him but Morales is done.

Marquez is not a legend. Its time to stop putting him at the same table as Morales and Chavez. Its disrespectful to real legends.

                      Marquez all the way

Morales is old now, slow, and very undiscipined. He has to lose 50 pounds before the fight, and has been going on since the last 10 years.
