In a couple years I got Broner by TKO. Too much speed and power for Gamboa. Gamboa has a shaky chin @ 126. If he fights Broner at 130 I can see Broner stopping him. People hate on Broner but the guy has great power, speed and tons of skills. He just needs a little more experience and he'll be a top P4P boxer.

If they fight right now Gamboa beats him easily.

Tough one. Broner will fool you with his ******* photos but a heck of a talent. Gamboa is a weird specimen of a warrior WHEN he's 100% focused and prepared. So assuming we get a 100% Gamboa I have him winning by a shutout.

I thought it was more like 4 with at least 2 being slips & another being a push? And wasn't they all like in his first 10-12 fights?

He's matured a ridiculous amount since & is much more patient & picks his shots much better than then & been in with top level guys and thoroughly dominated.

Good points. His mistakes haven't caught up to him yet.

He was down again Salido just two fights ago... he got hit and also partially slipped because he was out of balance (seems to happen a lot with him.... hardly an example of almost perfect technique.

I love Gamboa, one of my favorite fighters... far from perfect, though.

I've seen all of Gamboa's fights. Yuri has been down exactly four times in his career. All of his knockdowns (I believe) are attributable to being off balance. One knockdown involved an elbow from his opponent. In the Salido fight, Gamboa was clearly off balance after throwing a punch and got caught on the turn. It's certainly true that Gamboa's technique isn't perfect. It's equally true that Yuri has never been hurt by a punch.

And, by the way, Gamboa beats everyone at 130, including Broner. Adrien is talented, but Yuri is faster, more skilled, more experienced and probably hits harder.

He has never take a shot with his hand down, he only lower his hands when safe away from the opponent,
