Yes it's possible, boxing organisations don't depend on commissions, they can declare anybody champion regardless of the official result. Remember Zab kept his IBF belt after losing to Baldomir.

It's possible because the WBC know that they can do ANYTHING they want but they are suppose to go b the official decision...I believe Hopkins deserves the titles back but that's up to the official CSAC to decide.

Can you imagine if they would all just decide who they thought won?...Hopkins maybe get his belt back but now it's a paper title and doesn't hold the LHw lineage

WBC only has authority over the belt, they can't change the official result, and CSAC can rule whatever they want...

Remember the MAB-Morales fight....in the first, the WBO refused to give Morales the belt and kept Barrera as champion because of the controversy(and Barrera was one of the first fighters to legitimize WBO as a major title). In return, WBC refused to give MAB the title after their second fight(another controversial decision) and allowed Morales to fight for the vacant title in his very next fight.

Nah that's different I think...I don't think the title was up for grabs in that fight

thats a bit different, Baldomir did'nt pay the sanctioning fee, thus, had no "right" to win the IBF title...

I hope this isn't something the start of an epidemic, I know it's their belt, but i'm with you on this, they should let the CSAC do their job.

So Bhop still has a loss, until the CSAC final verdict.
