to answer TS question I think both PAC-JMM and Cotto-Maragarito will bring in enough action to save HBO and for sure both fight will do a lot of hits ...

IMHO Floyd-Ortiz was good PPV and dont need saving, only hopkins fight dont show good numbers as normally expected...

Now while some might consider it exciting to see Marquez get the **** beat out of him at welterweight, I think it's rubbish. On paper this fight is the biggest mismatch of them all, it'll be an exciting one way beat down, but a mismatch no less. I'll be streaming just like I did the other 2. When Pacman fights someone with a pulse in his weight class or 154, then I'll take notice.

Im not gonna give my prediction on how well this fight is gonna do but i can say that both of these guys will show up to fight. There wont be any running around or fake injuries. The haters will hate and say " on paper" this fight is a mismatch but they know deep down inside both of these guys is gonna war it out, they just cant find it inside of them to admit it thats why they try so desperately hard to discredit this before the fight even started LOL!!

Its ****ing boxing for crying out loud, who wouldnt wanna watch 2 guys duke it out? if u enjoy watching boxing then there shouldnt be any complaining because its your choice to pay for it or not. If your not gonna buy this fight then whats there to complain about? If your gonna stream this fight online for free, then whats there to complain about?? People who enjoy watching a certain sport doesnt complain about how its the weakest team playing against the best team so it'll be a waste of time, they still watch it because they enjoy the game.

This! But this one will either be a very close second or equal fight of the year, hence saving HBO PPV and Boxing in general.

In terms of number of buys, I doubt it. I don't think it's going to do huge numbers.

In terms of the fight itself. Can it really do any worse than what we've seen?

I mean, I'm having an awfully hard time trying to convince myself to keep telling people to order boxing PPV's.

The only reason why Bhop-Dawson was on PPV is broke cuz HBO sided with GBP and Dibella over Top Rank and it failed horribly. They didn't even sell 50k PPV's by the beginning of September.

Meanwhile over at Showtime - a network that hadn't had PPV's in years, had two Top Rank fights - the Cotto-Mayorga 200k and Pac-Mosley 1.3 million (1.5 million total) would have sold more fights in May than GBP would've sold all year combined. This is why Greenburg got fired.

You can blame HBO for chosing GBP over Top Rank and promoting bums (Berto - Martinez-Alexander etc) and giving them million dollar paydays when they can't draw flies to **** but you also got to blame GBP and Dibella promotions. Both don't know how to promote ****.
