When this decision is overturned and Hopkins is wearing the belts again all Chad will have left are the embarrassing comments and footage of his antics and tantrums. The classy thing to have done would have been to say it's too bad what happened but its boxing sometimes that happens, offer a rematch and be done with it. Now Chad Dawson is tainted and unrecognized.

He may have walked away with the belts but he's no champion!
Stop huggin on Hopkins nuts, the guy is a *****

exactly, as a matter of fact, they should do a live x-ray for the fans to see, boy how that would spoil Hopkins

I'll believe Hopkins was really hurt when an independent licensed MD says so.

Grandma Bumpkins is a pussay he fouled Chad and tried to jump on his back.

I'm happy he lost his belts, Chad should go after Cleverly and take his WBO belt.

I wonder if this is accurate...a friend of mine with some background in the field just messaged me this:

"I hope you guys have a doctor who's ready to explain to the Commission that the AC Separation business is non sense. Anyone can go to a doctor and get the diagnosis that Hopkins got. The diagnosis for low grade separations like Hopkins' supposed injury is based on the patient telling the doctor what happened and where it hurts. It doesn't show up on x-rays so the doctor just goes by what the patient says and by range of motion tests to make his diagnosis. Even though they haven't come out and said the grade of the injury (there are 5 grades of AC separation) I am positive it was a low grade separation because if something had actually popped out they would have never left him in the ring for that long after the fight to do an interview and there would have been a visible bump where the bone would stick out. An MRI would give an idea of whether there was actually tissue damage but even that would have to be compared with an MRI from the past because some people have loose ligaments in the shoulder area to begin with. I'm sure you guys already know all this and have someone on it, I'm just annoyed with the possibility of this being ruled a NC. Anyways, take it easy and good luck."

What do you think of the ref ignoring the obvious foul by Chad though?

Well, u have to put yourself in Chad's spot...he's already had Hops punch him on the hip when the ref was ou tof position...and he REALLY tried to headbutt him in the first...now he's on my back...you instinctively want him off, u know? And with Hops reputation for doing such thigns u think to yourself, HERE WE GO, u know? Either way, honestly, its a VERY disappointing result man!!!

That is entirely true. A little less than a year ago I separated my shoulder and at first the doctor just did range of motion tests(as this guy says) and he saw the bump and was like yea it's probably separated.

But it hurt like hell and I saw a specialist, got xray's and that's when it was determined that it was a Grade 3 Separation which is when there's minor tissue damage in addition to a severe separation. But they don't diagnose that easily.

It's not my place to call bull**** on Hopkins but that document that everybody saw means ****. And the bump for a severe separation like I had is far worse than what Hopkins was showing after the fight.

whether or not you believe hopkins was faking or not is irreverent because he was deemed not able to continue. This is a No Contest folks. No different then a headbutt before round four (robert guerrerro against Yordan for example, could he have continued, maybe, didn't matter though).

Crappy ending, everyone wanted a fight. But this is a NC

                      Nice try troll(s).

                      Oh looky here...

                      ...x-rays of an AC dislocation.

That's the problem with boxingscene. So much misinformation.

Even a grade I (the lowest grade) separation requires fairly significant recuperation:

"A Type I AC separation involves trauma to the ligaments that form the joint, but no severe tearing or fracture. It is commonly referred to as a sprain. Most doctors treat this type of injury with anti-inflammatory drugs, pain medication and the placement of the arm in a sling or an immobilizer."
