I think they all missed the point. The fact that Chad Dawson was pacing up and down the ring afterwards claiming he was number 1 after such an inconclusive decision gets me!

Scully says some great stuff: yes, a man is judged by what he says and Hopkins always denigrates his opponents. Worse, Hopkins is a dirty fighter
and a cheat. He came of age on Saturday--OLD AGE! And he knew it.
He wanted out of that ring in the worst way. Now they'll reverse the decision into a 'no contest' but there's no way Hopkins will get in the ring with Dawson
again--I'd bet big money on that. He's also been exposed, much the way
Tyson was after Holleyfield, as a bully who's really a coward underneath it
all. Erdei must've seen all this before because he was dying to get a fight
with Bernard in the last few months....

Schaefer is the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, which promotes Hopkins. When reached in Mexico City on Tuesday and queried about Dawson's remarks after his "technical knockout" victory, Schaefer became peeved.

"If you look at what Dawson has acheived and what Bernard has achieved, it pretty much speaks for itself," Schaefer said to BoxingScene.com. "And it shows you that Chad Dawson really did not belong in the ring with Bernard Hopkins. Never did and never will and never should."

Schaefer was just beginning. He hit hard. He said that typically there are satellite tours the week of these pay-per-view cards, where the PR team sets up the fighters for radio and TV interviews. Schaefer said not one radio or TV station requested Dawson, but they did request guys like Hopkins, undercard fighters Jorge Linares, Antonio DeMarcos and Paulie Malignaggi and promoter Oscar De La Hoya - president of Golden Boy.

Really Iceman, you believe that crap you just said?

When this decision is overturned and Hopkins is wearing the belts again all Chad will have left are the embarrassing comments and footage of his antics and tantrums. The classy thing to have done would have been to say it's too bad what happened but its boxing sometimes that happens, offer a rematch and be done with it. Now Chad Dawson is tainted and unrecognized.

He may have walked away with the belts but he's no champion!

yeah, that really got under my skin. what the hell was he thinking? the definition of arrogant. maybe he's been watching too much mma. a throwdown followed by prancing around full of deleusions of grandeur...

as it happens i really don't rate dawson very much at all. he's supposedly got all this talent but seemingly chooses not to show or use much of it. that's basically the same as not having it. bit like david haye with his devastating "hayemakers". sure could probably ko anybodyand certainly wlad but has to land first- same kind of arrogance thinking that because he has a bit of something special that everything will be a walkover.

seen dawson win some quite dubious decisions too just for being the favourite basically. not impressed at all.

              Team Dawson - 1

I still can't understand how someone could say Bernard was "looking for a way out" when Dawson only landed two punches in Round 2. One of which was a jab.

These NSB "analysts" crack me up. Knowing the exact outcome of a fight after two rounds and only two punches landed by Dawson.

Good comments by Scully. Seems like a pretty level-headed guy.

Have you seen B-Hop fights in recent years. Always looking for a rest up and up to these antics. **** him. Cintron landed harder and no one let him off lightly.

If us fans keep overlooking the obvious bull**** that keeps occuring in the ring, it will continue to occur because we still buy the PPV and everyone still gets paid. Anyone who straight up defends Hopkins is just blind. It's not even up for debate. I'm glad the ref done what he did. He knew fine well B-Hop was at it and got what he deserved.

This bull**** about Chad only landed 2 punches is crap too. He was far to mobile for Hopkins so Hopkins was unable to grab, lean, headbutt, clinch to wear Chad down. Hopkins don't start slow, he is ****ng slow and it takes to about the 5-6 round for all his dirty tactics like leaning down on (exactly what he was doing when he got dumped on a** and elbow) to take effect on his opponents. Go watch the Calzage fight to see what happens when he tries to start quicker.

I hate all the sentiment that go's with Hopkins just cause he's old. I don't care how old fighters are. The should be no concessions for the elderly. This is boxing not travelling on public transport. Bus Pass for Hopkins!
