I've already said this on the last Linares-Demarco article, but I'll repeat it b/c I think it overrides the rest of the bulls h it: when the ref stopped the fight Linares didn't protest. That is all.

The fact is, no matter how far ahead Linares was on the scorecards or how long was left in the fight, he looked a beaten man when the stoppage came. It's all about body language, and you could clearly see he wanted no more at that point. The stoppage came at the right time.

Ariza is a damn idiot!!!! The guy's face was a mask of red and blood was pouring out like it was coming from valves!!!!!! It was hard to see two eyeballs behind that mask of pure red!! That isn't fake blood, that was not a Halloween movie, the guy was bleeding buckets!!!! If that had been DeMarco badly cut, Ariza would have complained about why they did'nt stop the fight earlier.

I also think it was stopped a tad early. I wish the reff would have given Linares the benefit of the doubt. However, on the flip side, Linares did not complain at all when the reff stopped it. Also, it is much better for us to be arguing about a possible premature stoppage than a late stoppage (where a fighter sustains permanent damage).

Linares should consider changing his cutman from Saturday night.
There were 3 manageable cuts that were not treated as they could have been. The cutman just hoped blood stopped flowing from the cuts from his cutip pressure instead of using a coagulant. There were rounds that Linares' face still had blood on it from the previous round, so he didn't really even use the towel well to clean his face.
How do you miss 2 important aspects of being a cutman especially someone who had a cut going into the fight?
He could've dried his face and thrown a glob of vaseline on the cuts. A whole jug of vaseline is a dollar at the dollar store and the towels are compimentary at the hotel.
If Linares' cutman is reading this, PM me if you need some Baby-fresh scented Vaseline and new towels. Don't even worry about it, I got you.

Is there a camera angle that shows what caused the cut on Linares' nose?
Caused by a punch or an accidental headbutt?

Also, a fitness trainer has an opinion on a boxing matter.... Thanks Ariza, stick to your shakes.
There's no discussion, he was out on his feet AND bleeding profusely. Take your pick..
He's going to get hype fighting opponents that have little longevity.
WAR DeMarco. Still fighting ANYONE they ask him to. True champ.
LOL. That's what i was thinking too. They were madly in love with him!!
And it WAS a good stop. If you noticed at the end of the fight when Linares was on his knees in the corner, the blood was just dripping off his face!
Ariza's upset with the stoppage! screw him! maybe linares shouldn't have sparred Pac and gotten cut a week or so before the fight. I'm not sure if that was the same cut that reopened above his right eye, but it sure was in the same area that they were talking about.
