It has been steadily declining in quality for 30 years. Every decade sees the overall talent and skill of heavyweight fighters decline. Hardcore Klitschko fans think we are only saying the heavyweight division is weak now, and it wasn't weak until they dominated. I'm certainly not saying that. It has gotten weaker and weaker all the time, with a brief resurgence when Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, and Lewis were all really good at the same time. That quickly ended though.

sure the Klits are boring to watch fight but we must admit are very effective.

I am coming to think the HW division hasnt changed that drastically since the late 90s / early 00s talent-wise and its just the fact K2 are seriously dominating all HW contenders

I do feel there height / size does play a part in this, but not that significantly

        Anyone agree / disagree ? why ?
Ive never really understood why people give them a hard time. They have cleared out their division. You can't honestly accuse them of ducking anyone.

Vitali is obviously the better of the Brothers, but Wlad is very good too. They are both consummate professionals, who always come in shape and well prepared for their opponents.

They fight smart, they both rarely lose a round, and they usually finish the fight before it goes to the scorecard.

Yes, Wlad can be accused of being overly cautious in the ring, but honestly, can you blame him? He doesn't have the greatest chin in the world, so he fights to protect it.

Vitali is always fun to watch, so it kinda balances out.

I have never understood why they catch so much flak on these forums.

Ive always believed the downfall of the heavyweight division was the cruiserweight division.

It took the small fast mobile heavyweights and gave them a division to fight in that wasn't heavyweight.

All thats left are the big uncoordinated guys, and the fat guys too lazy to make cruiserweight.

The Klitschkos aren't making today's "contenders" out of shape and obese. Those same "contenders" aren't just showing a lack of skill and talent only when they fight the Klitschkos: They're showing it when they fight each other too.....and even when they're pounding on overmatched tomato cans.

Bottom line is they aren't just showing they're crap when they get in the ring with a Klitschko.....they're showing they're crap regardless of who they fight.
