David Lopez was a solid win for Trout. Also both Margarito's camp and Martinez's camp will admit that Austin gave their fighters a run for their money. Martinez needed to take a break during sparring. One of the differences between Austin and Canelo is that Saul can get big fights against top fighters but is being protected. Austin does not have the same pull right now.

Cintron hasn't look good since flying out like supahman in the fight with Williams. Just looked at his last two fights but he is trying to be more active now. He hasn't looked good at all since that fight with Angulo.

Once again Canelo picks another fighter that is not even rated in the top 10 and a guy who has looked shopworn in his last 2 fights, beaten in one and arguably beaten in the other.

Good fight for a young fighter. Crap for a champ. Just judging canelo by his age, this is a good resume fight. Former champ who is obviously past it is still dangerous enough to be a real step up from the gomez and hatton type's. Hopefully this will lead to canelo v. the top @ 154 or 160 by the end of 2012

Well said. I would add that if Cintron decides not to leap out of the ring, he's probably got a half-decent chance at an upset. And if an upset happens, it'll be a spectacular one as I don't see him outboxing Canelo over 12 rounds. At the very least we should see if Alvarez is possessed of a championship chin.

Wow! this kid is just 21. Hasnt even grown into himself. He didint ask for the title shot, he didint come out screaming that he deserves the shot and yet so many hate on him for it. Its the way of the world now.

Dawson got stripped and so many calling Hopkins the true champion
Martinez got stripped and so many calling Chavez jr Champion
Martinez vacated for PAc to have his oppurtunity at history
Bradley got stirpped to give Morales his oppurtunity at history

and thats just the WBC. But since then some of these guys have already been stripped or vacated. Belts mean nothing. They are trinkets to say you won one but come on now who really follows the champions.

I'm not sure if I like the sounds of Alvarez going back to train in Mexico, sounds like it won't be as much hardwork and motivation like it would be in Big Bear. Either way, I think he's got a head on his shoulders and stays determined by himself. It should be a good scrap. Also, it's good to hear Ishida is coming back, I didn't even know he was signed to Canelo Promotions.

If you read my previous comment i was just adding to it. Cause i guess you know how to read. Very proud of you for that. I said why so many hating on this kid and calling him a paper champion. Then i went on to explain it. Did you even read it or are you just simply an angry person who has nothing positive in their life so coming onto the internet to talk smack is your one way to feel powerful.
