how can anyone make that assumption after 1.5 rounds and a total of 5 punches landed by Dawson? The fight didn't even start yet, they were still feeling eachother out. Hopkins is also a slow starter, he was down against Pascal after four rounds in both fights.

Now of course, I don't know the outcome if that didn't happen, no one does. Maybe dawson would have went on to whoop his ass. Maybe hopkins figures out his timing/speed and puts on a show. No one knows after 1.5 rounds of feeling out rounds, that's for sure.

I thought he was winning the fight anyway since Hopkins was backtracking the whole time. So glad Kellerman asked him if this was a result of those dirty tactics lol, thats what he gets for lunging his body and trying to supress you so you can't counter. I think I hate Hopkins...

I think that's what I hope happens IF Dawson is not awarded any of the belts

but we all know with the power Hopkins' promoter wields both in the state of California and the facet that his belt is given by a company whose parent is the same promoter he works for.

shame really but we will see Hopkins as a champ after all is said and done and as much outcry as their is in Dawson winning the belt in this manner the same outcry should ladled on Hopkins for retaining the belt without doing anything either

Honestly I don't care what happens with the belts, either they go back to bernard or they can be vacant for all I care. All I know is there was no winner that night and it was a No Contest.

Sure, I understand people when they say they have no sympathy for bernard and the "cry wolf" thing came back to bite him in the butt. Understandable. But the injury has been proven. Whether or not he could have or should have continued is up for debate. Reminds me of Jay Cutler in the playoffs last year to an extent. Everyone trashed him for going out on an injury saying "oh he should have played, he was faking" only later it was proved he did have an injury. Sure, there were examples of other guys in the NFL playing with much worse injuries like a fractured leg or a missing finger, but not everyone is like that.
