Maybe that's why Martinez doesn't want to go to 168.

If this fight was held @ 154, assuming that Mayweather wins, it would be another very solid win and a nice notch on his resume, but i wouldn't even rank it above his win over De La Hoya @ 154.

If it was held @ 160 for the Lineal/Ring Middleweight title, then it becomes a legacy fight that bumps him up several notches in the ATG rankings and puts him undoubtedly above all of his contemporaries, as the greatest boxer of this "era".

Should floyd fight with sergio at 154 lbs, is that fight still considered a catchweight fight, considering sergio has been campaigning at 160 lbs a while now?

Still, this fight would surprise me if it happened.
A decent fight? This is absolutely one of the biggest fights that can be made out there. At least for us hardcore fans. If we can't get a Mayweather-Pac fight then this is the next best thing.

This fight simply won't occur. It doesn't make sense unless it's at 54, and to have it at 54 means Floyd would have to grow a pair of balls

                  The Pavlik comment was priceless.

anything below 154 is funny, lower than 152 isn't cool
Shane is also Manny's son if you want to get technical.

no way thats a catchweight. Sergio started at WW and was there for a good amount of time. Then he moved to 154 and settled in nice there for a very long time. He didnt move up because of weight problems. He moved up to get bigger fights. For every single MW fight he's had, he's weighed in at 157-158 pounds. 154 would definitely not be a catchweight and I think he can make 152 comfortably if you ask me
