Both camps screams no rematch,did we just get 1 pulled over on up?Hopkins loses his belt without losing,Dawson wins without winning,both get a huge payday,while the fans get ****ed over.This is getting ridiculous,1st the Floyd fight now this crap??its getting disgusting man

That's exactly how I feel. I just fond this **** too coincidental right now. After this ruling is overturned, it will be like the fight basically never happened, except people actually payed for this ****. If the rematch doesn't happen, it screams fixed.
Just like the Floyd-Ortiz fight.Blatant headbutt, a once legit ref looking elsewhere, a blowup on Merchant, funny stuff indeed. Both were Gloden boy fights btw.Comment

I don't believe it was an agreement between the fighters, I just think it's a reaction to an unusual situation...we'll soon see what Dawson decides to do if Hopkins gets his belts back, otherwise I don't see him taking a rematch.Comment

Yep . They both get big paydays and decide to reduce interest in themselves ( and hence future paydays) by giving an unappealing performance which leaves a sour taste in the fans mouths .

This is what I dont get. Both fighters are from the east coast. Hopkins is from Philly while Dawson is from Connecticut. Why did they stage the fight on the other side of the country? Why not have it in AC or Foxwoods in Connecticut?Comment
