He's just not going to fight Pirog, has nothing to do with the vacation king. He would probably make 'only' $3 mil for that fight as well w/ no PPV upside, so that's not an excuse.
Who said floyd bombed on PPV? I havent seen the numbers but rumored to be over 1mil.

It's been a month, to the day, since the PPV. HBO ALWAYS has numbers within 5-10 days max. They're not reporting the number because they're siked about the 1.3 million buys they did and just waiting for the right time to release it to the public. The PPV bombed and they're keeping it under wraps. Everyone involved excluding the fighters probably took a loss, which is why Oscar was thinking about a comeback- GBP has no PPV stars and they just lost a ****load of money on the Floyd-Ortiz bomb.

So ok where can i find the official number for Pac vs Mosley? Official number not Arum saying what it is. Cause GBP says Money ppv is 1.3 mil. Dan Rafael says it over 1mil. Kevin lole says over 1 mil and those are two pac fans. But i have heard nothing of PAc vs Mosley and that was 5 months ago.

ESPN, Yahoo, etc all reported the Pac-Mosley # as 1.3 million, had the revenue figures as well as the number of cable and satellite buys statistics. Example:

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao's lopsided decision victory against Shane Mosley on May 7 generated more than 1.3 million pay-per-view buys -- Pacquiao's best box office performance yet -- Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told ESPN.com.

For the record, the 1.3 million buys never came from GBP, it was just a story that floydhype printed after hearing that figure from an 'unnamed source'. The only thing GBP has said according to Rafael is that the number is over 1 million, but they don't know what the number is... that was 3 weeks ago.

Now if you can find me an article that breaks down how many buys came from cable and satellite systems and how much revenue was produced, I might take that mystery sources number a little more seriously.

Come on now, it's clear the card was a financial disaster and GBP and HBO are doing everything possible to keep it under wraps. It's been a month my dude, wake up.

Well respected media outlets such as espn etc.. all confirmed the 1.3million number given by arum.

Showtime never denied it, and now that they no longer have pacquiao, would probably have all the incentive to say the fight bombed.

Meanwhile, we wait for the ortiz ppv #s, which schaefer claimed were over 1 million but still has yet to officially announce. No reputable outlets have a confirmed figure yet, with estimates ranging as low as 800,000.

Oh look, an ESPN article where Bob Arum said it did 1.3 million buys. Hmm, wonder when they'll release those #s.

Y=Prince and Toyman, now i know you guys are trolls but ill talk for fun. So Prince gives an article where ESPN Rafael says that Pac did close to 1.3 mil buys with the only source being Arum. I already asked not what Arum said but what Showtime said. Now Prince you said showtimne nver disputed these numbers but they also never agreed to those numbers so which do we believe. I know Arum lies but do you?

Now GBP says 1.3 and thats a lie. Rafael says over 1mil and thats a lie. Lole says over 1mil and thats a lie.

Now Prince that rumored 800 came from one person who tweted and has since backtracked. So lets wait to see if the official numbers come out cause we still havent sen PAc numbers. And no Showtime is a professional company who wants other fighter to fight on their network so they wont throw Pac under the bus.

And by the way this is about Martinez and Pirog. Try again trolls.

Arum told them 1.3 million and the fact that they've published it in an article confirms their confidence in the number.

On the other hand, the 1 million was only a guess which is why it was tweeted rather than published. 1 month later, there is still no news about the ppv numbers.

I was following the discussion and prince was talking about why mayweather and martinez wont fight. Being the typical mayweather fanboy that you are, you couldnt wait to jump on the opportunity to talk about pacquiao because thats all you guys can really do nowadays.

I been looking more and more @ UFC recently...
Sergio will not get that fighting Floyd, in fact, $6mm that Pirog is offering might be the high-end if he fought Mayweather.
The only reason I think Sergio would rather fight Mayweather for the same money, is location and legacy (not sure how much for fighting a welter).

Oh im a fanboy. I have been commenting on this article but didint see you come up till mayweather/pac argument came up. Good one though trying to turn it on me. Prince didnt need to bring up mayweather ppv number and bash them but he, just like you, are fanboys and look for any excuse to bash money. So because they published they believe in it. So Rafael and Lole agreeing that it is more than 1 mil is not good enough and FH publishing it cause they have confidence is still not enough for you. And im the fanboy. Trolls
