bottom line......... he was tackled to the canvas (which is a foul) and because of that bernard could not continue the fight.. it doesn't matter if he had a separated shoulder a dislocation or a hang nail.. it should be a no contest and a rematch should be made.. that's the rules follow them.. making excuses and bsing people will not help boxing gain any new fans.. at least we know wrestling is fake.. stop the bull****.. and overturn the tko loss..
It DOES matter, because whether he could or could not continue was contingent on whether he really suffered a "stoppage" injury or not. Since he showed no signs during the after fight interview of any injury, nor even the "telltale" lump at the trauma site, and with his record as a serial faker, it's more than likely there was no injury, that it was "Hopkins as usual". The medical exam seems to have been routine,..."say ouch if it pains"...... he was given a mild analgesic, no MRI and sent home. XRays show only bone and other masses not tissue.

To me it looks as if Hopkins outsmarted himself, the way Cintron did, and the way he himself did in Robert Allen 1 trying to get 2 paydays for 1 fight.

To me and many others, it looks as if Hopkins outsmarted himself, the way Cintron did,

Sorry for the duplication at the bottom.

just like victor ortiz got frustrated that he couldnt get to Mayweather, chad did the same thing. Hopkins had chad in control, and "blinky left" was another sore loser in chad's corner talking about he beat Hopkins..lmao! its like people really NEED slow motion cameras AND a hearing-aid to know what's going on...for shame. and they escorted the ref out the building a.s.a.p.?? hhmmm?

hopkins had chad in control? what fight were you watching? i saw hopkins running, then he would try to jump in with the right hand followed by the head/tie up move, and missed every time....including the punch where he dove headfirst onto dawson's back...if anybody was getting frustrated, it was hopkins from missing for 2 rounds and dawson cutting the ring off on him good....

The fight was inconclusive (obviously) a "foul" call is subjective to the ref in the fight. But, personally a foul would mean that every time a fighter uses their shoulder to shed a fighter trying to rest weight on him ala Cotto vs Clottey, Klitschko vs Chambers similar instances has happened in the past. This is no different.

In my opinion though, Dawson didn't do anything wrong, in fact I believe Hopkins strategy just backfired - Lead right rush...head down and rest weight. I guess you can't do that to a fighter who stands taller at 6'2 i.e., more leverage.

Exactly what was happening. Hopkins was on his bike and most of his offense came from lunging and clinching while applying a headbutt here and there.

What a fraud, no respect for old man Bumpkins.

Warrrrrrrrrrrr Dawson!!!! Next up that fraud Pascal who barely escaped getting KTFO the first time.

Won't be a rematch whether the decision gets reversed or not. Hopkins don't want none of Dawson. Hopkins style: punch, rush in with head, hold, punch while holding. His tactic of rushing in after a punch was why he was on Dawson's back, and Dawson already hates this guy so naturally he's gonna try to get him the hell off of him. I don't think he did it with such force that hopksins should've flown off of him the way he did. Dawson was disgusted with Hopkins immediately after he saw him on the floor. I knew the fight was over the second hopksins was holding his shoulder and rolling on the ground.

Dawson was going to win, but they should make the correct call and make it a N/C. It's unfortunate, but you never know what could happen during a fight.

Because this was controversial and with the boxing communtiy have injuries on a daily or weekly basis, much discussed amongst themselves, I believe they were well aware of what tests were needed. An experienced layman would, especially in the boxing business.

Also Hopkins himself, being such a serial faker, and always wanting to show himself as right, if such PROOF could be obtained, would want to display it triumphantly across the headlines. If he was faking, and really was OK as the indications actually show, the tests would only include a series of movements, where Hopkins would say "ouch".......... The Xray was a precaution against fractured bones only. An Xray does NOT show separation, UNLESS a heavy weight is held. All the sites agree on this, and it's easy to understand. They all also say that a dislocation is very different, and easily seen on Xray.

An instant diagnosis of separation by a doctor would be made if there was the required "lump" at the trauma site. Gabriel Montoya the MaxB writer, said he was right beside Hopkins on his way to the dressing room and there was NO lump. NO lump was evident during the interview. Hopkis is a known liar and faker.

So my opinion is still the same- I believe that he was faking to gain a point or a DQ, his common modus operandi, which backfired on him this time, as it did with Cintron.

You mean conspiracy "theories"? Conspiracy means parties convening in secret against other parties. Conspiracies occur all the time, daily.

And for people who can only see things at surface depth. Yes conspiracy theories would be hard to believe. Despite evidence.

Yes you re correct, I've always thought that conspiracy theory people are more than a little crazy. A too vivid inagination runs away with them, and the natural human attribute of su****ion completes the mix. There is nothing more annoying than a simple "fact".

I guess the referees at Pacquiao-Marquez and other upcoming fights will advise about shoving and protect yourself at all times.
