DeMarco reminded me of the Karate Kid in this fight, never lost hope. The version of DeMarco that fought valero would have quit when the tough got going, he learned a lot from that fight I think..

cong**** to demarco. linares was winning that fight and was looking good up until that 11th round. it's a shame his face couldn't hold up against demarco's punches. He should have took it easy during the 11th instead of trying to out macho demarco by exchanging with him.

Disagree. He's had a history of come from behind KO victories. In fact, he was on back to back versions going into the Valero fight. Kid Diamond fight was fairly even but DeMarco was still a bit off because he starts slow. Then DeMarco blasted him one good right hook and destroyed him immediately. Anges Adjaho hurt DeMarco and got knocked out himself before the round was over. The fight with Nick Casal was a violent as all hell fight with DeMarco showing a career's worth of warrior. It's why he didn't catch **** for the Valero ending. Valero must obviously have been a HELL of a puncher (aside from the KO ratio) to make a guy like DeMarco give up.

if only the cutman of linares was able to suppressed the bleeding, he should have won the fight....but it was a nasty cut....

i wished the ref did not stop the fight, it was a great fight and linares is not really hurt...

People always talk down on someone for one reason or another regardless if DeMarco saved last nights PPV with his dramatic come from behind KO. It wasnt really that come from behind to me because from rd 6 on it could have gone either way on the cards because Tony was landing the more effective shots. I still had DeMarco losing, but I saw Linares fading and just trying to pot shot his way to a UD. Probably the blood and cuts were what got Linares to come and trade and I commend him for that because he didnt quit he really wanted to leave with that belt and he went out on his shield.

DeMarco might not be ATG or top dog at 135 but people forget this guy has a good chin nice range and decent pop. Rios vs DeMarco would be alot closer than most think. Rios is a come forward fighter that would fit Demarcos style much better than Linares. Id actually favor DeMarco but thats just me, I dont think Rios hits as hard as Valero and hes not as crazy either so it would be a back and forth war and who evers heart and chin hold up would come out victorious.

It would have been interesting to see how the judges would have scored this one. I had Linares winning most but his face was a bloody mess.

Linares should have listened to Roach on this very disappointing by him actually, but well done to both fighters giving the fans are great fight. If it wasn't for this great fight people would have probably caused trouble after the Hopkins fight lol.


Thoughts on Linares face? How easy it was to cut him from the punches and especially after Pac bruised his eye during sparring. Do you guys think this will be a problem in the future for him?
