I thought the 1st round was a draw, Hopkins landed a good right and Dawson landed a good left. But if I had to choose, I would give the 1st round to Dawson. The second round basically nothing happened other than that "accident".

Dawson was gonna lose that fight. Bhop was clearly dictating the pace of the fight. He was circling the wrong way on chad and still managing to keep his left foot oitside of chad's right foot. He was in better position to get off. He was stifling chad's offense and shutting him down.

Hop didn't even throw a punch in the 2nd round. Did anybody see that

Why can't those accept that Dawson was younger, bigger and stronger, and was ready to prove to everyone tonight he came to fight. He kept his hands up and that's all he really needed to do

Its really time he start to think about retiring

Good for you SmartMoney, IMO risky betting on a TKO against Hop in that fight, but you won so its money made, I bet small on Hop 50 bucks, too bad this ended so quick.

Wasnt even a full two rounds, says nothing, Ive seen Hopkins lose many early rounds only to dominate fights. Hopkins isnt going to show his hand that early for his opponent to have 10 rounds to adjust, no he's gonna let you show yours so he sees what he has to do for the rest of the fight.

I had it 10-9 Dawson after the first, with Dawson probably winning the second. But then again, Pascal won the early rounds against Hopkins too.

Like Natas said, Hopkins is a slow starter who likes to feel his opponent out and make adjustments accordingly. It's impossible to speculate how the fight would've turned out.

I know it was a risky bet but the ods were good.

Hopkins is getting old and Dawson is a big dude. So I tought +750 on Dawson winning by stoppage was worth the risk.

I dunno about anyone else, but I like when fights come to their natural conclusion. It was only two rounds where nothing really happened. You don't know what would have happened had it gone on.

Look at the DeMarco-Linares fight. If it would have been stopped early by some freak accident we would have missed an awesome come from behind KO.
