definitely a bad decision by the ref. fight should have been no contest. regardless if hopkins deserved it or not you cant tko someone without punching them. since it was a n accidental foul it should have been ruled no contest, plain and simple. i dont know what the hell the referee was thinking.

From what I saw on Ytube this fight should have been called NO DECISION or NO CONTEST.
Had Hopkins fell down on his own and injured himself and deemed not being able to continue then I’m all for the technical ko. But he was nudged by Dawson, so I can’t see a technical ko. As for Dawson’s move itself, I don’t have a big problem with it. Bernard is a rough, dirty,hard fighter. Dawson pushed a man off of him that was on top of him. He can’t help how Hopkins fell.
As far as Hopkins not being hurt and actually quitting? I dunno... but Hopkins has a history of “alleged” exaggerated injuries during fights against Robert Allen , Antwoine Echols, Calzaghe, Roy Jones2, and Dawson... So who the hell knows!! I'm just glad I didn't buy this fight!

FACT:
Hopkins spent 5 years in a maximum security prison in Philly. Philly prisons have the highest rate of prison **** in the United States.
Weaker and younger men get ****d by stronger and older convicts. So you guys need to ask yourself one simple question: How many men did Bernard Hopkins **** while he was in prison for 5 years???????

That is where we need to start to understand the character of this imbecile (and I am not even including his armed robbery conviction).

Do you realize that more than half of your posts on this site are about Hopkins, and that at least 1/3 of them repeat this very claim you make in this post.

It's a hell of an accusation you make. Unless you have proof, I suggest this be the last time you make reference to it. Not sure what your obsession is with him, unless of course you were one of those men you claim he ****d while in prison.

this last fight is burning a hole threw my mind. i cant believe Bernard Hopkins is such a punk, especially with all the hype/nonscenes hes been spewing.

it is OBVIOUS if u rewatch the last 15secs of the fight; bernard hopkins CLEARLY purposely JUMPED on his back after missing a punch and had saw that Chad Dawson was hunched over after dodging hopkins punch.
he JUMPED on his back HOPING for the exact outcome that had happend (minus the tko loss, which i am COMPLETLY for).
he KNEW he was going to lose. and i believe Dawson had a STRONG chance of KOing hopkins if the fight continued.

Hopkins was throwing combinations: the 1&head, the overhand 2&head
every time he threw he lunged in with his head, like it was a damn combination.

he wanted out of the fight before it started, and that want increased even more after the first round.

bernard hopkins is a grade A punk and cheat and will hopfully always be remembered as so

There was nothing in the first two rounds that would lead me to believe Dawson was finding a way to land or be effective against Hopkins. He may have won the rounds off of being busier but Hopkins has been a slow starter in his last two fights and really began to come on strong in the middle rounds. If anything, I believe Hopkins was finding his range for the right hand and was on his way to shutting Dawson down on offense. The ending was ridiculous. If that's a TKO win then let me fight for a belt because any able bodied man can win off some **** like that. This needs to be overturned or golden boy should refuse to ever bring a fight to CA again.

All three judges gave Dawson the first round. Keep in mind although Dawson wasn't landing much, Hopkins wasn't either. For the entire fight, Hopkins was backing up and Dawson was walking him down, and there was nothing Hopkins could do about it other than lunge with a right hand and then hold.
