It's hard to judge where he is now in terms of skill, but he looks very raw. His body movement looked very slow and amateurish...

He is standing with his feet and shoulder squared to his opponent.
Seriously, when he fights any journeyman with some decent amateur boxing skills/background and has some experience, that type of ****e will get him pwned. Well, that and his overly developed weight lifters muscle. After two rounds fighting a guy who can go more than a couple and has some kind of boxing experience at a proper pro level, Kimbo will get completely gassed and run out of KO power and then it will be over.
Either way, it's funny stuff. It will be funny to see the first guy with some experience take him into deep waters and drown him. Boxing is about more than getting a ten second KO, and he will quickly find out that there is a big difference between these guys, who are no better than the *****e he was beating in backyard fights, and an actual well trained journeyman/experienced boxer who can take a shot and give one back.Comment

Get em Kimbo!
I don't care what you say, Kimbo is the man! Sure, hes not the best technical fighter in the world. He DOES represent the struggle. Coming from nothing to something. Plus, hes drawing eyes to the sport. Can't do any bad in my opinion. Get em Kimbo, keep breakin' these haters off!Comment

Christ, I hate this attitude. So, what's the difference between this guy and every other fighter that comes up the hard way, which is probably about 90% of top pro fighters? Do you follow every fighters career that comes up the hard way and represents the struggle?I don't care what you say, Kimbo is the man! Sure, hes not the best technical fighter in the world. He DOES represent the struggle. Coming from nothing to something. Plus, hes drawing eyes to the sport. Can't do any bad in my opinion. Get em Kimbo, keep breakin' these haters off!
Difference is they do it even more so than Kimbo. They start out at the bottom and work their asses off, but they don't go around on the internet being a **** and beating on hobos, crackheads and dudes who've never fought in their life unless drunk.
You know the difference? It's called hype and marketing. You have fallen for it.
I think it's largely that because he came from beating up bums and crackheads in backyards for five bucks he seems a bit closer to the common fat bastard. He's like Ricky Hatton. Hatton was popular because he was seen as just one of the lads. Kimbo is the Hatton of the fat internet tough guy that wishes he was cool enough (or whatever the hell they think he is) to go around beating up drunks. They think he represents something and is just a regular guy doing it the hard way. It's why Hatton was so popular too.
Difference is Hatton could actually fight and wouldn't have spent time beating up dudes outside the pub that were so pissed they could hardly lift their arms.
