I didn't really see anything that even made it look like he admitted defeat. Also I agree with the post about his match with Vic Ortiz and coming back to draw after being knocked down twice.
Im not saying that Peterson will quit during the fight, but that mentally he knows he will loose before he even steps into the ring. It takes Lamont Peterson about 6 rounds to get into the fight and start throwing decent punches, He can not handle speed, So dont be shocked if its an early shock and awe by Khan early.

Peterson has no excuses, He is fighting for two world titles in his HOMETOWN ffs! If he looses here its relegation to C class fighter for him.

Still, I haven't seen anything to show that mentally he knows or even thinks he's going to lose. He might, but has even given any indication that he's thinking that? Right now, it just sounds like one big assumption.

Yes he is a tremendous boxer, but everyone knows he can be knocked the **** out.

Even if Khan beats a man up for 11 rounds they know they are not out of the fight. It's not like he is Librado Andrade or Antonio Margarito.
LOL the haters been moaning about his chin, but 3 years later he hasn't touched the canvas once!!!!

That was 3 years ago when Khan was weight drained and not world class and Prescott was undefeated at the time, Not exactly a journeyman when Khan fought him.

Peterson is like a poor mans old version of Shane Mosley, He will turn up and throw one lazy jab a round but talk a good fight before and then it will be really a very flat boring performance from Peterson, He is doing a "Mosley/McCloskey" just turning up for a payday and not looking to bad doing it.

Peterson didn;t lsoe to Ortiz, after being knocked down he actually outboxed Victor and won the majority if not all the rounds after which resulted in the Draw

its a **** fight anyway. who the fcuk wants to see khan v peterson?! tim bradley is a joke fighting casamayor but he couldnt fight khan?!!! khan should be stepping up to 147 now instead and get used to that weight if he is serious about a floyd mayweather fight. fight a berto, or an ortiz. much better than fighting peterson.

He seems okay to me and seems to be loving the media attention. One thing you can't fault Peterson on is his heart.

Peterson slow? No, no he isn't, not by any means is he slow. In fact I'd say he was quite quick. Not Khan quick but certainly no slouch.

I wouldn't be surprised if he shocks a few people & makes a good go of this, especially down the stretch if he survives the early onslaught from Khan which I believe he very likely will.

Khan is far far from as good as he's being made out to be. I really do not see what all the damn hype is.

I have the same point of view. About the only thing that can dis-encourage Peterson if Khan head butts him which he does often in a fight

It seems Peterson knows he is not going to win and is focusing more on doing a "McCloskey" ie trying to survive and make Khan look bad instead of beating Khan and looking good.

Peterson will then get even bigger fights because "He went the distance with Khan", Or "Made Khan look amateurish" or because "Peterson lost a decision to Khan not loss by knockout". Basically Peterson will get more fights because he fought Khan.

I dont expect Peterson to last, He is slow as hell and he is going to probably get blown away early ala a Salita style decapitation strike, Or Peterson will get horrifically outboxed for 12 rounds, I dont see it being close, I would have said that Peterson had a punchers chance but I dont think he even has that.

I really believe Peterson is going to do McCloskey, Loose the fight in a lopsided manner but take solace in the fact he lasted longer than most people against Khan and milk future paydays from his Khan loss and his other losses than his wins.

I daresay Peterson might end up being the new Zab Judah, A boxer more famous for his losses than his wins.
Well if all that is true he is basically your typical Khan opponent then isnt he? Someone who is a product of excellent match making, a no hoper with a bit of a name or a rep at a lower weight class / 10years ago - basically a cherry pick?

Madina is the only fighter with a pulse he has fought, and he practically had to beg and threaten the WBA and Khan for that fight.

Khan's career is a product of good management, nothing more so far. Has all the talent in the world but hasn't put it to use yet - he's in the game for the cash, a promoters dream really.
