Floyd never became no1 p4p by beating any top p4p fighter. People criticise Floyds earlier career fighters. Pac beat the Barreras of this world yet werent rated above Floyd for some reason?
Its just Floyd was already at no1 and the ring magazine couldnt be bothered to move Floyd down, until Pac actually beat Floyd!

Now its time Floyd fights Pac if he wants to prove it. The good thing to come out of Floyd and Sergio fighting is if they lose they wont be dropping down much, compared to if Sergio had of lost to Barker.

Lets be honest here, Manny is more of a threat then Martinez is and thats coming from a guy who hates Manny. Sergio is a fighter who fights with his hands down and fights from the outside, Floyd would outbox Sergio anyday because of this. Manny is a brawler who would get inside and use his speed and power, thats not good for Floyd. Although I do think Floyd would beat both of them, Sergio is clearly the lesser threat do to boxing styles. And don't give me this Sergio is bigger with alota power crap, Sergio isn't even known for his power. Who gives a shlt about him KOing Paul, the guy isn't known for his power period.

Personally I too think that Martinez is a bigger threat than Pacquiao and pays less of a reward for Floyd. Martinez is bigger physically, taller, a southpaw with great speed and decent power. Given those factors I would still give Mayweather a chance at beating Martinez but even if he did people would say Martinez is an old man, past his prime. Sergio is 36 now and if the two were to fight sometime next year he would be 37 and have to move down a weight class. Floyd would get very little credit for this victory outside of the boxing world.

Floyd should instead focus on getting the fight with Manny made. Less of a risk and more of a reward.
