Well seeing as he couldn't deal too well with Pac's power in sparring sessions, then I am not sure he could handle the stick with smaller gloves and no protection. I am not saying he wasn't competitive in those sparring sessions, because Roach has confirmed this to us, but also we know he was hurt and put down to the body.

Ortiz is missing something mentally, because physically he has everything you would need to reach the top.

He wouldn't get past 6, whether it was him quitting or getting knocked cold.

This fight will never happen though, Pacquiao only fights 40 year olds

I had said it before Mayweather/Ortiz fought. Even if Ortiz had managed to get past Mayweather, he would've gotten pulverized by Pacquiao if Bob decided to match them up.

Ortiz had a better chance at beating Mayweather than beating Pacquiao. Mayweather doesn't expect to get hit and the layoffs hurt him. Ortiz HAD the physical tools to beat Mayweather, the only problem was that--and many people mentioned this and even Ray Leonard in an ESPN radio interview-- Ortiz, being young and never in a fight of this magnitude, was going to melt under the lights and be overwhelmed with nerves. We all saw it coming, but we were all surprised by the ******ity that came out of him with that blatant headbutt.

You need a disciplined boxer to beat Pacquiao. If you try to go to war with him, you're going to pay the price, such was the case with Hatton, Cotto, and Margarito.
