Ray Leonard retired a few tiimes but each time came back for a big money fight. Only his 1st retirement seems legit. Felix Trinidad retired a few times. Other fighters, less well known, have retired and unretired in days or weeks after retirement announcements.

It would be sad to see Haye go, because there are plenty of fights out there for him and he does bring excitement to the HW division ...

He just need to stay away from the Klitschko's and he'll be fine.:bukkake:

Itsnot that hard to re new a boxing license is it? WHy dont he renew even if he dont intend to fight?

Wlads punches might have scared Haye into retirement. He is imagining Vitali as even more dangerous and saying no thanks.

Just announce it already and get the hell out of the sport. Boxing doesn't need any more "my tiny tiny toe hurts and why I lost" type of guys in boxing. Enough of the wannabe "decapitator of all things Klitchko" hype job.

Let's hope this pretender retires as he's nothing but a black eye for boxing...

The amount of posts in this thread so far shows how much the boxing public care about Haye's retirement.

Please just go away, Haye. It's a shame too, he can bring some good fights to the division but the guy is such a douche I'd rather he just float away entirely.

In reference to Haye's retirement I am going to quote the infamous outlaw cowboy Curly Bill Brocius as the Earps were leaving Tombstone, "Well....Bye."
