I'm going by recent form. Garcia looked spectacular over Arnaoutis, but then struggled with Campbell. Sure he did win easily and clearly on the cards, but Campbell managed to engage him in rough fight. And then Holt in recent form has been blasting opponents. I'm really looking forward to this and favor Holt.

Fight of the night for sure.

I forgot DeMarco and Linares are getting it on too.

Golden Boy really likes to gamble with their prospects. I like that about them. We don't have to wait 2/3 years to figure out how a guy steps up.

I think Holt will need to knock Garcia down several times or out to win the fight.(All of which could very well happen)
good point - you always gotta look at the dynamics outside of the ring when really trying to predict the outcome of pick 'em fights. . . Im also guessing Garcia will be the "fan favorite" since the fight is in LA where a lot of Mexican-Americans will come out and cheer. . .

I think Garcia is a little green for a guy like Holt, but with how Holt fights it is possible it works out for Garcia. Holt is very easy to out hustle even against Diaz he was not really doing a lot of work. Still there is a lot of danger in that because Holt throws some of the best counters around, so if he isn't careful he will find himself looking up at the lights.

Now if Garcia can get knocked down and keep coming like Bradley he will be fine but if he gets hurt and gets gun shy the fight will be all Holt.

It will be interesting to see how that plays out Garcia should control most of the moments but really the key moments are likely to come from Holt.

Tough to call, but I say the veteran pulls it out with something nasty.

I can't believe nobody's talking about Buddy being Holt's trainer..Holt will need something in the tank so his punch out-put is steady,he won't have that with Buddy..I would have picked him but that's to much of a wild card imo,Garcia by UD..Anyone wanna make a wager PM me...

Glad you agree with my overthinking and guesswork! The real issue is will a crafty more experienced Holt find a way to walk Garcia into his undeniable KO power... He did it was Bradley a couple times, and Bradley is probably more skilled than Garcia.

However I doubt Garcia will be as foolhardy as Bradley... If Garcia gets hit with the artillery Bradley got hit with, I'd say Holt knocks him out. Slight slight edge to Garcia in this one b/c of youth, workrate and intangibles.

Probably a stay away fight in terms of betting, but great value for rolling the dice..

What does Garcia generally average in terms of punch output per round? Does his workrate slip a lot toward the end of fights? He's going to need to win this on hustle. I'm sure his workrate will be impacted if Holt can counter effectively. But out of curiosity, what does he avg per round?
