well i mean makes sense....that should be the sole purpose of any fighter whom gives up the "reach" advantage....just like it should be Dawsons strategy to keep Hop on the outside...simple boxing knowledge in that

Blood and guts is awesome and will be appreciated, but I also like technicians.. Sometimes blood and guts can get into a boring rhthym too.. Surprisingly I find Malignaggi fights exciting for some reason?
Maybe b/c something wacky usually happens when he fights, also b/c it's exciting to see how a guy can win boxing matches while only using one hand... And predominantly the jab.Comment

Understandable and I like Paulie too. Hes an entertainer and if nothing else hes original. As for his in ring performance despite his limitations he has the skills to win and hang and he has heart so hes cool with me but we will see. Oh no no Drew. Anything above 40 is great.. Even a 32" gets the job done depending the room size. 42" is perfect.. anything above is if you have a big theater like room.Nice, glad someone else has this size tv. Wasn't sure if I needed to spend more money on something bigger, but it looked very adequate at the store. This is an upgrade from a 19 inch tv........ However I watch most fights in bars, so haven't had to squint at too many big fights. Can't wait to try out the new Screen!
In my room I have a 21"
For the computer and I use it for gaming.. and I love it. For me it depends on the size of the room. In my room I play like close to the TV in a corner so a 21" is perfect for me.
Enjoy it man.. I remember the first time I watched an HD event. I'm still amazed at the picture quality up to this day. Make sure you check the settings of the TV.. there's a site that tells you the best settings for your TV. Make sure the image is not stretched or cropped.. just normal. And play with the image settings (color settings: vivid, cinema etc etc). Make sure your receiver is set to the resolution of your tv etc etc.
Optimize it to your liking and so it looks the best possible. You will enjoy your TV man.. I bought mine like 3 years ago and still love it and man watching events on a big TV is another experience. You will see.
BTW Drew SD picture might look kind of crappy at first on a big size TV since it upscales the image (stretches it to fit screen).. it happens. But HD picture will blow you away.Comment

I definitely want to watch it in HD on that bad boy. Honestly, I finally get to see this TV in action on Saturday the same day I'm moving from a shoebox apartment to a much bigger apartment. It's going to be a huge day for me. I already have the cable company scheduled for that morning so there's no chance I have to miss this card.Oh no no Drew. Anything above 40 is great.. I'm definitely going to play with the settings to fully enjoy it. I mean, just things like playing mario kart are going to be a whole different ball game. I'm gonna watch Planet Earth, probably rewatch some action flicks.. This time next week, I won't be able to imagine how I was living with a 19 inch television. Cannot WAIT!Comment

Yeah he'll definitely stay inside here which is damn good, then he could definitely pull this out. Probably decision. I think it;; be more exciting then people think like the Pascal fights. Hopkins just gotta outwork him like he did Pascal.Comment

That is the way to go. After spending that kind of money you want to get the most out of it. Damn man congratulations. Celebration night.. I do hope the fights turn out to be great then haha. Hope you have a great night man, enjoy it to the fullest. It signifies a step up.I definitely want to watch it in HD on that bad boy. Also if you have a laptop or desktop near the TV I suggest getting a VGA to HDMI cable or DVI-to-HDMI if you have a mac in case there's a card someday you don't want to buy or something. I hook up the laptop to the TV and watch UFC cards that I don't feel like buying and it looks pretty nice. The TV does a pretty ggod job of scaling it.. depending on the stream quality. Ihave a site I use I could give you if you want.
Hahahah yes man. Like I said a whole new experience.. you seem to get more fully immersed into boxing events, movies, tv shows etc. It gives you that cinema effect if you know what I mean. Great buy you will enjoy it.

If Dawson can't just flood Hopkins, and each round gets real close. I'd give Hopkins the nod in being able to pace himself perfectly and spread his punches/combinations out over the championship rounds so he can win the decision. Mix in a couple end of round flurries too.
Every time something unexpected happens in this fight, Hopkins will be ready to analyze and act on it. I don't think Dawson will be able to changes and shifts in this one as efficiently. I give Dawson the slight nod if he can maintain his plan A, but I doubt Hopkins will allow Dawson to sit on his plan A.
To be fair, had we been analyzing the first Hopkins/Taylor fight week of the fight. I probably would have said the same thing about Taylor not being able to just sit on his plan A...Comment

I have a PC, which also desperately needs upgrading. I'll definitely have to pick up one of those chords, to convert pc to tv. Now when Maidana sparks some guy in Argentina, I can enjoy the youtube of it on my big screen! That is the way to go. After spending that kind of money you want to get the most out of it. I actually am planning on having friends over to rescore Leonard -vs- Hagler, Definitely going to take full advantage of this. I do currently have it scored for Leonard, but I look forward to confirming that with a better quality picture. With a lot of people not giving this card much credit, I think it's gonna sneak up on us. Fingers crossed!Comment
