Haha. Yeah the 20 or so hardcore fight fans here on this forum. I find it funny how Pirog who is known for ko ing a prospect is all of a sudden a Ali and Elvis all rolled into one. I am not saying he s a bad fighter, but lets not act as if Pirog is King Kong or a superstar. Fact of the matter is that if Sergio beats Pirog the only people that will care or know are the hardcore boxing fans in this forum.

Yeah, I am for Martinez for this fight. I think most want this fight it's because it's an exciting one. Sergio fought Dzinziruk and Barker. Why not give this kid a chance, It's a great possibility that HBO will accept the fight and will pay for it.
In russia or in the U.S. no matter where it happens, I think this fight is a good fight to watch.

What's so special about Pirog that people wanna see him in with Martinez? He's looked like crap since fighting Danny Jacobs. Why aren't people calling for Golovkin or Sturm or Geale? Nobody would even be mentioning Dmitry Pirog had he not KO'd Jacobs. Is that all it takes to KO an overhyped prospect and now you're the biggest threat to the top of the division?

How is Pirog any different then Barker? He has less fights. He's fought lesser fighters. Pirog's biggest win was against Jacobs. The only thing they have going is the promoter is relentless for an easy payday.
Martinez is calling out better fighters then Pirog and gets no respect. All the ass kicking Martinez has done and gets called everything in the book because he might not face Pirog. He could fight Chavez & Canelo and make a ton more. He can fight Mayweather and make way way more. It's not the money it's what he can add to his resume. What will Pirog do for Martinez at this point? Pirog can fight Vanes, Angulo, Sturm. That's a good starting point

Barker - Has debut with the fight with Martinez.

Why call fighters who aren't there?
Is it logical to call those people who has scheduled fights ahead? When someone is vacant and calling your name.
