a) Pirog means ZERO now and b) NO US TV,CHALLENGER'S HOMETOWN,RUSSIA, NOT MUCH MORE THAN HE'S MAKING HERE= NOT REAL!Originally posted by Khmelnytsky View Post1) Martinez's manager Sampson Lewkowicz said on his twitter yesterday "its not more money then HBO" which anybody with a brain should have known is a lie. Now today Dibella says "NOT MUCH MORE THAN HE'S MAKING HERE" which confirms that the offer was more than he makes on HBO. Can't these morons at least get their excuses and lies straight before they go public with them lol
2) HBO would obviously pick this up so in addition to what Pirog is offering, which we know is a career high payday, Martinez would also get payed by HBO.

“@nazarioz: @SampsonBoxing Pirog's team forgot Ruble to Dollar exchange rate when they considered the money to be "record purse".” SURE!!!!
First Martinez's manager Sampson Lewkowicz says the offer was less, now he says it was considerably less and insults Russia too. Someone needs to inform Lewkowicz that if he's going to be a slimey, lying, scumbag and lie to boxing fans he should make sure that Dibella is aware of his lie so that he can go along with it too. Lies exposed.
Expect dumb Martinez fans like HTOWN to ignore this fact
Originally posted by ИATAS206 View PostThe thing is Reed Pirog offered to fight Martinez in america. DiBella said "f@ck Pirog" and that there wasn't enough money. So, Team Pirog find some investors and get a way to pay Martinez more than he's ever got, thus eliminating the excuse that it's about money. Pirog is still willing in able to fight Martinez in the US, only that it would be completely funded by HBO, whereas if they fight in Russia there would be outside investors putting up the funds.
So Martinez could have it either way. He could fight Pirog on HBO in America for something around $1.5 million (that's what he got paid against Barker), or he could fight Pirog in Russia for more. His choice.
But it's clear DiBella wants neither. Why fight Pirog for $1.5+ million when he can fight Macklin or Andy Lee (who are also dibella fighters) for $1.3-$1.5 million? It's obvious what's going on here. dibella has slammed top rank for in house fighting but he's no different.

Until Sergio himself gives a statement about this fight will we know if he is willing to fight anyone. But if he hides behind his promoter like just about everyone who really doesn't want to fight someone in particular, then I smell b-itch move no matter what the reason. Be it money, area, record or just plain scared. He can forget about pac and may cause those fools aren't gonna fight, s-hit they won't even fight each other. So I feel as a fan pretty excited about this proposed fight and would be backing him 100% win or lose and it will show that he has the heart to fight live opponents.

it's understandable if team martinez just wants to wait and see if there is a possible floyd fight, but to straight up reject any and all proposals to fight pirog on US or Russian soil is straight up duckage.
also, if there is no floyd fight, then why can't there be a pirog fight?

Martinez has already shown that he will fight anyone.
Unlike " the little guys "
It is ABSOLUTELY FKN ABSURD to flame him for not flying to Russia to fight a green kid who has never beaten a top 10 opponent.
Personally, I hope he takes the fight, because neither Pacquiao nor Mayweather will fight him, and there doesnt appear to be anyone else of note.
Man-up Pirog.
So, you think that you are ready? and you want to fight the champ?
Then you fight him in his backyard dude, you have not earned the right to demand home-ground advantage..... and if you cant win outside Russia, then stay home.

But a green kid demanding hometown advantage reeks of a setup to me.
If Pirog wants to fight the champ, then he challenges Martinez in his backyard, not the other way around..... if Pirog will not fight Martinez on US soil, then he is nothing but a punk kid.
And I like Pirog btw, and do not think he is a punk kid, so I hope that some common-sense comes into play when folks are evaluating this potential fight.

Awful quick to call a fighter a punk without knowing what you are talking about.

Then, explain this..... "without knowing what you are talking about"
