no surprise i hope? we had to endure 2 years of trashtalking only to get a stinker in the ring. haye better fight vitali, and put up a good fight. it sucks ,but realistically there's no good options for vitali right now. some smaller guys ,and maybe dimitrenko...who wants that??? he may as well go on a vacation....

      That's what I said.
He better not retire and there's one more interesting fight with Vitali - hopefully without any pathetic injury excuses.
His trash talking is entertaining as well.

This whole retirement talk keeps Haye relevant to his dwindling number of fans.

I really hope he fights Vitali, so Vitali can decimate this loser. I mean this ****in wanker David Haye would've been toast if he fought as a heavyweight back in the 90s. Now he's making as much money as Lennox Lewis did in his career or even more!!

If Haye is actually serious about retiring then it shows that he doesn't have the heart to fight anymore, which means he won't perform at a high level anymore. I think this retirement story is designed to try and fool everyone and hype the fight with Vitali. So this douchebag Haye can collect another huge purse that he doesn't deserve!

I'd like to see that one. Haye earns his chance to face Vitali, or Arreola earns his chance for a rematch.

lets be honest here: as much as we want to see delusional david haye go away forever on his own free will - we would LOVE to see him get pummeled into retirement by one of the HW GOAT's at age 40 in VITALI KLITSCHKO. . . Then he will have RETIRED both Lewis and Haye! BRILLIANT!

Forget it, Haye won't fight any contender only Klitschko.

haye wants to jump straight to vitali i think. otherwise retirement time...!
but i still think vitali would be better off taking that fight now.
he did that mistake already with the sugar man valuev, now they are unsuccessfully trying to pull the russian giant out of retirement.... too late!

Haye doesnt give a **** and ive gone from a big Haye fan to never wanting to see him box again, he will get flattened by Vitali....
I like what you say about British fighters. I grew up where British fighters were all we saw in the news, both on film and in the newspapers. As soon as I saw how Haye fought Valuev, I knew that he was no good, merely an opportunistic mouth. Even with all his antics before that fight I was willing to give him a pass. And he "hampionship" defences, were beyond pathetic. He should have been arrested for false pretences and stealing the fans' money.

Nobody will miss him, just as if he had never been around.
