i could really give a **** about all these stories about atlas

the guy knows boxing inside and out and as an anlayst and trainer thats all i need to pay attention too

tyson was clearly a mental case though so i don't blame atlas for pulling a gun on that psycho

as for briggs yes that behaviour is a little over the top and weird but he obviously trained him and prepared him well as he became a world champion later on just like tyson did thats his aim

are his methods a little strange yes but boxing is a savage sport and sometimes you have to go the extra mile to put yourself in that place mentally where are ready for war

atlas gets too much hate he speaks his mind and won't bite his toungue for anyone in these days and times you have to respect that imo

He used to call me all day and night. He’d call me at 3 o’clock in the morning and I’d be like, “Hello,” and there would just be silence. He’d call again, “Hello?” I had Caller ID, I knew it was him. He’d ring again. “Hello? Teddy? What’s going on, are you okay?”

What the...? This sounds pretty fishy to me, there'd be no reason he would do something like that.

I've also read his book and apart from him glorifying himself how he won every street fight, he appeared normal to me, considering what he's gone through in his early life.

how come briggs doesnt mention teddy split from him because he would commit 100% of his time to boxing.he forgot to mention before the wilson fight teddy was unhappy with him spending more time trying to make rap cd's & movies.he forgets to mention thyat teddy told him it's either 100% dedication to training & boxing or they would no longer work together.he also forgets that after the loss to wilson he claimed to have a ashma attack before the fight but only brought it up after the loss.teddy was in the hospital with him & cleared the air by saying that it was not true.briggs was making excuses for taking short cuts & not training hard enough...after they split how big did he get? he never beat foreman & he lost to lewis.briggs fought at his best weight before they split.he started having success & got complacent.emmanuel steward trained him as well & dumped him shortly after too...how come no one ever brings that up? moorer did the same thing.atlas lead him to 2 world titles & then moorer fired him & then showed up with steward for 1 fight & lost his title to holyfield because he was out of shape.teddy has a shelf life with boxers.eventually they tune him out much like a championship team that gets complacent & loses their edge.what usually happens then is they replace the coach.its no different with him..hes a screamer & eventually the boxer will stop listening...the difference with povetkin is sasha is dedicated to getting better & working hard.thats why teddy likes working with him.you dont see atlas yelling at povetkin during his fights for a reason.sasha actually listens to him.he now has a trinket & huge paydays coming because of it.
