I've been saying this already that the ppv is around 700-900k.

Sure they would have wanted to do better but 850k is a solid number, sure it is not great for Floyd compared to recent numbers but only one other dude is sniffing numbers like that so really just how bad would 850k be, especially considering that they would have made money.
I was mainly saying if it did this low what is the big deal, for it to be a disaster they would have to lose money.

Take like half for cable distributors 27.5 million, that is just ppv revenue most big fights don't top 20 million total revenue, so please

Promotion wasnt huge for this fight. It was picked up pretty late and momentum after the fight made it seem big
I predicted during the hurricane when 24/7 was supposed to be on CNN, this will be his lowest selling fight in a minute. That was my prediction, we'll see

Its very likely that after everything, GBP, HBO, Direct TV, Dish network, MGM Grand, local hotels that were running promotions, all lost money on this fight.
The cable and satellite companies take half the ppv revenue, 27.5 millionish, I am sure they were doing just ok.
HBO takes enough to cover cost and not much more, 24/7 is cheap programming so I am sure they could care less.
MGM Grand and Vegas hotels don't give a **** about deal, they give a **** about ********, they will take a bit of a lose to get casino traffic~
Money was not lost on the fight, would there be a huge profit at 850k no but that is enough to make more than loosing.

Just for the record, I saw the fight in my house with 15 friends. Now imagine how many other people did this around the United States? And how many people watched it at a bar, people who streamed etc. HBO PPV was probably ordered by 850k-1.3mill houses, but I bet you over 2 million people watched this fight live some where.

I don't even care what Floyd or Pacquiao gets, but Pacquiao ain't getting no damn 40 million for a fight. Hell, I think he'll have to fight 3 times just to get to 60 million. And even then, with the 27% Arum takes, and the 10-15% Roach takes, Pacquiao will have a hard time getting to 60 mill. Floyd makes more than 80 mill in two fights and even after he pays Ellerbe, Haymon, Schafer, and Roger, he still has more than Pac.
That is at this number.850 would be a bit disappointing I am sure, but it is not some disaster like some here want to think, which was all I was really tying to point out and some people are getting twisted, oh well.

Don't know why, but the buzz for this fight just wasn't good from the jump. probably due to Ortiz's anonymity, possibly due to Floyd's antics getting old with the public.
