Tito did take other challenges IMO he never avoided the rematch against ODLH.

There was so much hype before the fight that they called it the fight of the century. It was a let down in terms of excitment in a fight. Didn't hear a lot of ppl calling out for a rematch
HAHAHA but a year and a half after he fights Tito he moves to 154 to fight Javier Castillejon& Vargas after Tito had already smashed Vargas?.....

    Oscar simply didnt want it

tito was struggling to make 147. everybody knew that. in the ring after tito beat reid him and don king were calling dlh out. they said they would fight him at 150.

dlh never mentioned tito again until after tito lost to hopkins.

the same way dlh didn't want nothing to do with mosley until after he lost twice to vernon. both fights could have had immediate rematches. dlh didn't want either.

smh @ you guys acting like dlh didn't outclass that cornball.
If that idiots' fights didn't include forced routines where he ran to the corner, climbed the turnbuckle and yell puerto rico every other round he wouldn't be as overly hyped today as he is. disgusting how he's legendary mainly for a fight he actually lost.

Oscar didn't do rematches if he felt it was too risky. Only people that got rematches were old ass Chavez and Mosley (after many thought Shane was done).

but he outboxed him easily, he was giving him a boxing lesson....

Oscar knew what was in store in the rematch so he went to fight Derrell Coley.

If he was outboxing him so easy he wouldn't have started running in the later rounds. Obviously it wasn't that easy. SMH @ Oscar running away from the rematch.

Trinidad was corpsed at WW and simply couldnt do it again, its probably why Oscar did so well against him anyway, it certainly didnt help Tito's case.

Trinidad went to 154 and looked BRUTAL, after seeing Felix lookin so strong at the weight i dont think Oscar wanted it knowing this was a guy who while dead at the weight still managed to run him out of the ring in the late rounds of their fight. Trinidad would have took that fight, he'd want more money than before and he'd deserve it too but Oscar would still be the main earner.

I remember King Proclaiming - IF OSCAR DONT WANT IT WE DONT CARE! WE'LL FIGHT ,,,,,,,,,,,, WE'LL FIGHT.......(I Forget all the names he said except James Page!) WE'LL FIGHT ANYONE! WE'LL MAKE THE MONEY - WE DONT CARE!"
