If this happens I give full credit to Alvarez for fighting the bigger guy while I would consider Chavez Jr a punk who ducked Martinez in order to fight a smaller guy.

Also, this isn't a bad idea from a money standpoint... but still a dumb fight. Two kids who've never really been challenged going at it.

Bob Arum has done a phenomenal job protecting Chavez Jr. and building his record but he knows as well as anybody sooner or later Chavez has to face a legitimate competitor. Alvarez is the correct fight for Chavez Jr. someone's O must GO. El Estadio Azteca is where this fight belongs.

I knew Arum would have Chavez Jr vacate before facing Sergio Martinez. I even called it a long time ago when the WBC order Chavez to fight Martinez. Bob Arum does a great job of protecting all of his fighters under his stable. Arum don't like losers unless he has the winners as well. I think Alvarez kicks Chavez Jr's ass anyways.

Anyways, everyone and their mama knows sergio beats chavez. Everyone. Sergio is foolish himself too for allowing to get ****ed around by the WBC for a couple years now. He should know this would happen. ****** to ever trust the WBC.

With that said, I actually prefer a Canelo vs Chavez jr fight. For one, it will be a massive event, two I actually think it will be competitive and three the loser can STFU. Martinez vs Chavez on the other hand is a boy getting slaughtered by a real man.

Alvarez vs Chavez is the $$$ fight. That's understandable for now but at some point the winner has to face Martinez. Martinez vs anybody is "The Fight".

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr is a way bigger fight. Then Sergio Martinez fight. He is not ducking Martinez by fighting Saul Alvarez. That's like Pacquiao vs Mayweather for Mexico. This fight will be huge amoung the mexican and latino fans all over the world. The two biggest young Super stars from Mexico.

I think Sergio Martinez will KO Chavez in less then 5 rounds...

So that being said if these young stars both win there next fights. They should fight each other early 2012. Which would be a war between two young undefeated champions in there prime. That will sell more then a Martinez fight.
