Dawson is craz to think he can throw 90 punches a round!

Chad throwing 90 punches a round trying to be jermaine taylor against hopkins will only hurt him, he is a technical boxer which has served him well all his career. To try and overwelm hopkins with a new style he hasnt used is dumb on his part especially with a cagey, smart and savvy boxer like BHop! If this happens it will be counter city! Bernard by his first KO in like 9 years!

lol. well, i really can't see him throwing 90 punches a round either- especially against someone like Bhop who always causes his opponents punch output to drop but....dawson has an excellent jab, and he does throw it a lot. if there are lulls in the action or rounds where bhop is not doing much himself, dawson is likely to win those rounds because he is active with his jab even when he is doing nothing else...even when he looks absolutely bored in there, he's still throwing his jab. he has a chance to pick up rounds if bhop isnt able to keep up his own attack or counter effectively throughout the fight

Dawson averaged 51 a round against diaconu , his thrown per round actually slightly increased as the fight went on averaging 53 from rounds 9-12, Pascal did limit Chads out put but he did throw 50+ in roundd 9 and 11. The second fight against Johnson he averaged 77 punches a round, throwing over 100 in rounds 1 and 2, and threw over 70 in rounds 10 & 11, he seem to coast the final round. So stamina is no issue, and he can throw 90 a round.
Work rate is a good way to beat Hopkins, Joe Cal stole a win from bhop from high work rate even though he wasnt landing.

I cant see him doing that either but im glad he is talking like this because it shows that he knows what he needs to do.He was never going to out think Hopkins. He needed to revert to his advantages in youth anbd try the Taylor- Calzaghe approach against Hopkins. I could see him being too patient like Tarver and being taken apart but if he is talking about pace, maybe we will ge a good fight!

Chad fades down the stretch. Even if he wins the first four rounds, he ain't winning this fight once Hopkins starts lighting him up late. Dawson has zero mental toughness.
