mayweather only fears hard punching mexicans.. the reason, mexicans never stop coming and mayweather doesn like to get hit.. a guy like arce would scare the hell out of mayweather.. so of them little mexicans are just crazy and they know how to fight .. and i belive mayweather moved up in wieght fast to get away from those fighters.. you cant deny his skills though . nayweather has great skills.. i cant imagine him fighting paqcioua untill paqioua slow though

...............sure, and that's great. Yet self preservation doesn't always work.
take Ali for example.
another thing is, boxing is alot more than a business to some fighters and i'm referring to ones that say they're literally willing to die in the ring. Guys like Chico,Morales, Gatti ,Marquez, Chavez etc they've been in greater fights than Floyd.
Some of their fights will be remembered 100 years from now long after they're dead. So I guess they're choosing glory over their own lives. Which may seem ******ed to some. I think it's admirable to be honestComment

......... in terms of glory Benitez , Hearns , Ali > Mayweather
but I guess glory doesn't mean much to a guy thats willing to sucker punch a fellow boxer to get a W and then brag about it "You better protect yourselves at all time when you're ****in with me" ....that was the opposite of glory lolComment

man lives off of a bum ass pension from the wba and has to get support from those guys....how much money does his"fans"send him???how much have you giving him???man has permanant damages from boxing..self preservation would have allowed him to enjoy the rest of his damn lifeSelf preservation comes first?!? Then why did he choose boxing as his career? That's the lack of warrior mentality people are talking about, if history has proven anything about combat, its that people revere warriors that go out on their shield, even when they lose the battle.Comment

it is the most admirable thing for a prizefighter period, the BALLS......floyd being practical is a good thing, but in a prizefighting bussiness where " no guts no glory is the number 1 motto, it is not as respectable....the game is called "prizefighting", not "self preservation"....................sure, and that's great. Yet self preservation doesn't always work.
take Ali for example.

dying in the ring is probably the more merciful way to go rather than developing CTE. if I was a boxer, I'd rather die in the ring than have an orderly feeding me baby food when i'm 47 years old, which is exactly what Erik Morales has to look forward to. but what a warrior! haha...............sure, and that's great. Yet self preservation doesn't always work.
take Ali for example.
